We have a poster for each of the The Zones (your traffic lights) :vertical_traffic_light:and labelling each one with the behaviours exhibited in them. The children are utilising many calming techniques too such as meditation and breathing exercises.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? They are showing a capacity to include others in a variety of playtime activities when they would normally stay with their friend group.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? labelling their feelings and acknowledging others by reading their facial expression. Relating the story and the character roles of the people in the playground map with what goes on for them at school.

“This kit is great. My class was able to successfully notice and work on their relationships with others, and link it to our new school values. We really enjoyed being 'story bots' and following a pathway to make a story using the cards. I think the kit's biggest benefit was in the awareness it gave to each student, and they then followed through with their actions.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? It has been awesome to hear children asking other children if they would like to play with them, and really making an effort to build more relationships in the classroom. Especially for students who are a bit more reserved.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? It has motivated students to eat/play with other students who they usually wouldn't so that they could earn another coloured sticker from that person. It was cool to see children who actually continued these friendships too.

“This kit had a lot of potential. Unfortunately I didn't use it to its full potential due to the fact I was confused on how to use some of the aspects of the kit. One part I really enjoyed was the question prompting cards. These cards really got my children thinking about being respectful and this led into some drama activities. These two combined together really helped my children understand respectful relationships.”

“We are still working through this kit but the kids LOVE playlunch! We recently did the NZCER well-being survey with our students and pro-social behaviour was one of the key areas we need to work on and then the next day I opened my kit and looked at the resources and boom it was exactly what I need! It is also perfect as some of my children are really struggling with friendships and how to make new friends so this is perfect! Thank you so much! The mat and the battery is a great visual to help understand how others and themselves feel when in certain situations and how they can help themselves and others. “We had started the year talking about Respect as a school value we were focussing on. The kit arrived the week before lockdown and I was intending to use it as part of our on-going focus. obviously Lockdown interfered with that plan. When we returned to school after Lockdown we were given some clear guidelines as to what we were to focus on. The school moved onto a focus of Kindness. This was to tie into our PB4L commitments. We were asked to keep reinforcing Respect but build Kindness into our programme. Hence, the kit will be used to benefit next year's students as I haven't had the time to use it in the way it was designed nor in the way I had intended. It will be a great resource to start the new year with as I like to build start each new class with the focus of Respect. I have to admit I was very disappointed at not being able to use it in the way I had planned. It looks awesome and the resources will come in handy for my 2021 class. Thank you.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Provided effective tools for the kids to use to build and rebuild relationships especially after lock down and coming back into term 3. Helped support those who were feeling nervous and unsure about returning after the holidays.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Using the online tools and videos helped the children to notice the feelings of others as they could relate to the characters they know (insideout movie clip) and take what they learned into our play sessions as we are a learning through play school.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? It was a great kit to use alongside our class/hub's focus for the beginning of Term 3 as we had a lot of new children start in our hub it gave children the tools and enabled them to use what they had learned through the kit to put into practice.
