How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Coming back after lockdown was difficult for the students. Working on friendships and relationships helped everyone understand that we all needed to adjust after being at home with family for several weeks.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Students have become more tolerant of other people’s differences and have learnt to interact and spend time with a variety of people. New friendships have evolved from this.
This kit has some top quality valuable resources. My favourites are the simple breathing to calm exercises that instantly calm the class. The battery resource that focuses on positive energy, charging and recharging our focus is used daily since it was introduced. The charging circles used to fill the battery outline are a tangible resource that reward prosocial behaviours. Students delight in having the chance to add a circle to help charge our class battery. The charging station has been helpful for individuals to take themselves off to have a break and re-charge their positive learning attitude. This resource has complimented the lunchtime project that promotes 'prosocial' behaviour. Discussion regarding the meaning of prosocial and antisocial behaviour was valuable and we identified what these actions look like. The concept of 'prosocial' and 'antisocial' behaviour have become common language in our class. Prosocial behaviours are encouraged throughout the day and students have been heard using these words to encourage and redirect off-task peers. It has changed the atmosphere and ways students interact in a positive way. Students are approaching each other daily looking for buddies and adding stickers to their booklet. It has also aroused interest from other teachers and students who what to know what's going on. It's fun and interactive! This has had a noticed impact on improving antisocial attitudes and behaviours I was struggling with in my year 2 classroom. The Lunchtime project is displayed in a visual way to remind and promote these prosocial life skills. Thanks so much! This kit is a resource I will be using throughout the year.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The kids rose to the challenge of deliberately making meaningful connections with everyone in the class and the stickers were a great representation of their efforts.

The battery concept created a simple way of helping chn to be aware of their own feelings as well as those of classmates. The recharge station has been used by almost everyone! Incl
A great kit with a lot of interesting parts to explore. A valuable resource, with dice for independent reading activities The conversation starters were a great way to get the children communicating and thinking. The web site contains an amazing amount of resources to assist. Loved the selection of music, video clips and stories.

This kit is a valuable resource for any class, at any time, but was particularly pertinent this year, with it's unexpected ups and downs due to Covid. The online options are massive! I really liked the flexibility of the resources in that they could be used in different ways to meet the needs in different classes.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? We all can say the different elements that we like when making ad keeping relationships with each other in our class.
Over all I found this kit to be comprehensive and helpful. At first, I couldn't quite understand all the different parts but after taking some time I figured it out. We still haven't used all the resources (e.g. the small cards for conversations and dice) as they didn't seem to be necessary for the success of this kit. We did the Playlunch Project which was good although with my year 1&;2 children there was some confusion with the swapping of the stickers. We gave out the stickers after playtime and lunch time as that worked better than having the children take the cards into the playground. Talking about people's feelings using the concept of a battery worked well and we got some really good conversations out of the large picture of the school.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? they use better language about identifying how they are feeling and approaching others to comfort them and get to know them. Its ok to be in the red because you wont stay there...its just a moment.
As a class we completed this KIT after lock down. We enjoy checking in each morning with how we are feeling, in regards to our battery. Although we are still learning how to make sure we are charged up and in the green zone, it is great to hear the language beginning around how we can get back into a fully charged state. The play/lunch project was especially helpful this term, when we had some new children move into our class from the class below. I have enjoyed hearing and seeing them playing with different people in our class, a few new friendships are beginning to form. Absolutely fantastic!

The activities on giving compliments that aren't about appearance has helped with saying kind things and noticing kind things that other's have done for them.

This kit is great. Full of great resources that cover a-lot of information, also caters for different learning styles. The children loved many of the activities and it proved lots of opportunity for discussion. We used this alongside the zones of regulation programme

The playlunch project was a simple but effective way for children to expand their friendship group and make connections with others in a positive way.

The story was our starting point and we talked about how we can read emotions in others with body language etc. We then led on to different situations in our class to make connections.
Im sorry...I thought I had sent this through. This respectful relationships dovetails perfectly with our PB4L values and schoolwide attention as well as the bi annually Kia Kaha programme we follow. We cover respect for ourselves, surroundings and others constantly rewarding children positively. Im a big fan of POs Ed! So--after Covid this kit was a natural set up. It worked well with the map and cards...what could the boy do to make that girl happier etc and my class enjoyed discovering ways to help and nurture others. in their explorations. Not so great with the sticker chart as they progressed...caused fights and demands and in fact they lost interest fairly quickly. Loved the re charge station and passing on their ";extra charge"; to others...we actually talked about static electricity

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The recharge mat extended on our learning about taking time out to calm down. The battery became a collaborative measure of how well we were all sticking to our agreed classroom culture measures. It was a great visual to get the children's by in.
Our hub loved the Playtime Sticker Chart. This was an excellent tool that demonstrates how to ‘collect friends’. The students were able to easily see their friendship patterns along with giving the less confident children a way in to ask others to play. A great resource pack, thankyou.
