How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The children have developed a shared vocabulary, so they are able to explain how they feel more accurately. They are more empathetic and inclusive in groups and out in the playground.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The children are more patient with each other. They use negotiating skills and communicate with each other more. They are more likely to include others in their games out on the playground.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The children were able to relate to the story about Tim's experiences at school and used this as a springboard for sharing their own. They shared ideas on how to be more inclusive and problem solved how they would behave in similar situations.
The timing of this kit worked well for us, and we were able to link our previous learning of zones of regulations in seamlessly. We used the inside out video clips to help hook in at the beginning. It was a great kit for the students to look at a range of perspectives, as this is not the easiest task with juniors!

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The children have had to collaborate together to complete the activities. Having extra resources to support our teaching of relationships has been great.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The games have provided a lot of positive discussion in class. We have a collaborative space of 46 children so we often have to discuss relationships.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? We have looked at the resources regularly this term. The children love the traffic light and we have used it often when talking about feelings in the class.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Considering how others feel and empathising with them. Thinking about how to refill classmates batteries and sharing those ideas for others to practice. This fits in well with our school's developing restorative practice.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The playlunch project is helping the children to consider new connections. We also gained alot from discussions around the question cards.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The battery concept was very useful. They could immediately undersatnd what it meant when they looked at the pictures and identified the feelings of the characters in the story.
Thanks School Kit Students loved the Play lunch project and have enjoyed the charger. Some of the stories were great and some good resource ideas online. I did find I just took it off on my own tangent this may have been making it work after lock down...I don't know. We have spent a lot of time using circle time. Some of the stories have been great for this. Other bits like the dice and cards weren't used but I am sure these can be kept and used another time. Thanks again.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? We had a new girl join us after lockdown and they were so excited to show their ability to nurture this new classmate of theirs and apply the knowledge they have learnt to form a respectful relationship with her.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Children are beginning to understand their own feelings and emotions and those of others. They are taking ownership on their own behaviours, knowing that they have an impact on their buddies.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The open ended question cards were fun and created a lot of discussion between these young minds. The questions really got the students thinking and imagining the entire scenario if it was to happen to them in the playground. Discussions flowed and enable
It is great to have a resource based on helping the children to develop positive and respectful relationships. This is not always easy to teach and the ideas supported what we do everyday. Both of the teachers in our collaborative space are doing the Incredible Years Teachers course this year so this resource has been and will continue to be useful.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? More discussion around others feelings, and all being friends in our classroom. Have now moved onto circle time to continue friendship building and positive relationships.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? My class enjoyed the play lunch project. It was great that they were able to see how many of their peers they had played with. We talked about a rainbow of friendships often.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Play lunch project was great way to encourage a range of friendships. Stories were a great way to prompt conversation about others perspectives. Charger was a good to encourage understanding about how others might be feeling.
I found the references to the books and songs great. The kits came at just the right time to be used after lockdown.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? While one focus has been on considering others, our students have a long way to go...they are still essentially quite egocentric but I have seen small improvements with some students.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? We (the students) have become more aware of how others may be feeling and a big focus on considering others.

My class was having issues building relationships this year as I had kept some students from the previous year and there seemed to be a divide between students. The kit gave my class an opportunity to play with other students, learn about other people’s opinions and feelings and I feel like they came out of the experience with new relationships built.
