How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Our sense of community within the class is a positive highlight. Growing our friendship circles and reacting to the feelings and ideas of others have all been positive gains.

“I am currently doing an Inquiry on Wellbeing/Houora/Relationships and was excited to be able to use this Kit. This Kit has many useful and meaningful activities that the children were able to thoroughly get into. They have specifically enjoyed the 'Playlunch Project', which I will continue using next year with my new children. I have integrated the activities in this Kit in support of other programmes I am using.”

“We loved the variety of ideas and resources this kit provided us. It included lots of great talking points and allowed us to have many great conversations with the kids. While trying to build up their empathy and resilience. It was a bit more challenging than other kits in the way that there wasn't really a plan to follow but I did enjoy creating our own journey using the resources and only found it different as I am so use to school kits other kits I have done in the past. I did love how the kit integrated lots of learning areas.”

“Thanks for your continued support School Kit and their sponsors. My kids the 'switch on' 'recharge ' yourself mat. We started off with a hiss and a roar with our booklets and stickers. It made the class very aware of others and how they might be feeling and how important it is to look out for others. We had lots of kōrero abot the poster and our playground behaviours. The poem was also enjoyed by the class. Sorry I can't seem to find the pics I'd taken maybe on an ipad. Will pop some up on the fb page later.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? More explicit links to this from myself made the class aware of what desired behaviours I was looking for. This has enhanced their ability to work together and problem solve more independently.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? We used this kit to refocus on our relationships after Lockdown. Whether the work through the kit or not, the class are a lot more empathetic towards one another and seem to have a real understanding of one another and value of each other more than before
