“This was a really well resourced kit. I did find it a little tricky to find easy to follow instructions on how it all worked. Unfortunately the Covid lockdown meant we were interrupted, and it was a little tricky to pick up where we left off as the kids were pretty unsettled etc. All in all, was good, very impressed with all the resources that I'll be able to continue using.”

“Lots of fun, age appropriate, and a range of different activities to complete. We are still working away on the kit due the delays of Covid. The kids loved the hands on tasks and how they related to the tasks to their own lives- they were very empathic of others feelings. My kids love the question cards and the supporting YouTube videos.”

“I found the kit a little tricky to understand at first, but as I picked my way through it I found the resources to be very useful. The story about the sports game was a great tool to ignite thinking and talk of inclusion and noticing how others are feeling. I also especially liked the play lunch project encouraging classmates to find common ground with those who they might otherwise not have.”

About working with others and that others bring something different to a relationship. Learning to work with others. Some checked the battery during the day and used this every well.

“The kit had a great variety of activities to use to help develop respectful relationships within the classroom. The children loved the Playlunch Project. They took including everyone very seriously and loved coming in after lunchtime and swopping stickers with everyone in the class. The poetry activity was also well received and we loved creating our class poem. The ability to recharge our battery every day through showing kindness and respect, was also a great addition to the kit.”

“Some aspects of this kit were really great! The kids loved the playlunch project and were really motivated to spend time with others in the class. That helped to build a sense of community. We enjoyed the story about Tim and used this for several circle times. The task cards were also great at guiding classroom discussions. They were clear and easy to follow. This kit didn't come with many instructions, which made it very difficult to figure out what to do and how all the aspects worked together. I had to invest a lot of time into experimenting and deciding for myself how to use some of the resources. It would have been more user-friendly to provide a teacher guide.”

“The kits had some excellent resources and fitted exactly with what our learning objectives were for the children in our team. Prior to receiving the kits we did a lot of learning around growth mindset and zones of regulation. Because of this the children were able to engage with the learning activities in the kits really well and recognise the different emotions and feelings of others. There was a great variety of resources and ideas that were were able to utilise, and it was also easy to adapt to use differently as well.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Some of them are good in changing their friend circle but some tend to be abit sulky. Lots of motivation and encouragement needed for this students. It is a good practice to continue.

“It was a well thought and put together resource. I liked that I could adapt the resources inside to suit my class. My students and I enjoyed the sticker activity that encouraged them to step out of their comfort zone and really think about who they are working or playing with.”
