How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Children have been able to understand that they are able to be proactive in regulating their own energy levels/moods to an extent. The learned a few strategies too.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Playground project was brilliant for helping children to branch out and connect with other children that they may not normally have done.

This was exactly what was needed after lockdown. Was awesome to refocus children and re build relationships plan ho take ideas into next term as well.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Good specific fun examples and fun ways to develop respectful relationships particularly branching out to form new friends ships.
It has been a wonderful resource to use with lots of great ideas. Some I found a bit tricky with New Entrants eg: the sticker activity - they tended to just give the stickers away to their friends not matter how much teaching we did around this.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? They have learnt to problem solve with their peers in a positive way. They have learnt to be more inclusive.
Enjoyed this kit very much. I linked the books with coloured sticker dots to our school value for the term which was Courtesy during term 2. At the end of everyday each student in the class would say a class members name that they noticed had been showing the value towards others. I used the magnetic dots and wrote as students name on them and they were kept at the bottom of my whiteboard. I then used them as another reward system in my classroom and if they were at the green part of the battery at the end of the day they got 2 stickers for their sticker chart. If any student in my class was misbehaving or not being respectful or doing the right thing had to go and have a timeout on the footprint yellow mat.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The kids try their best to keep in the green zone of the battery. They love the link especially cause they love our class ipads so often refer to themselves as needing charging etc.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The kids have taken it on board really well. Using the group activities has helped students work together and readjust to classroom life after lockdown.
There was lots to this kit, that as a teacher, took a while to get my head round - especially as this was the first time I'd had a School Kit box. My class was really excited about the charging station and doing their Playlunch project booklets - it was really lovely to see students spreading their frienship groups and playing with children they didn't normally play with. The story of Tim and Ava was really relatable and we all enjoyed doing the drama activity and creating emotion freeze frames. Some of the videos were a bit too complicated for this age group, but the stories we could find on Youtube - especially ";I'm the Boss of This Chair"; went down really well. It was great to use this kit as a re-engagement in kindness after coming back to school after COVID.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Having a variety of resources really helped with their understanding - youtube clips, online stories, read aloud stories, hands-on resources (battery, playlunch project) and it linked nicely with our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience
Thank you for the opportunity to implement this kit into my Yr1 &; 2 class. Unfortunately, my class had a lot of disruption last term once back to school after lockdown. I had 10 NE children doing transition visits and then 5 entering and the other 5 start at the beginning of Term 3. I have the kit all set up and ready to run for Term 3 now that I have my full class. I can see that this kit teams up beautifully with our Religious Education curriculum and will help me to build that cohesiveness amongst my class again (due to the change in dynamics). Thank you once again for your teams creativeness in providing such a wonderful resource. This is my first kit and the pdf resource that was later sent was a great help to me.

The students were very open to building relationships and particularly found the playground project fun to complete. Some new friendships were made and students were aware of not leaving anyone out. We started this programme before lockdown and continued after we returned to school and found the students more open to discussions after lockdown. I used the book Aroha's Way and Let It Go very useful resources as they reflected how students were feeling during and after lockdown. These were more useful and relevant than some of the videos referred to in the kit.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The children had to identify emotions of others and think about what had made them feel this way, fostering the development of empathy and emotional intelligence.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Some of our tamariki were new to our school this year and had not yet made friendships before Lockdown. This kit helped them to get to know their classmates and begin to establish some friendships.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Our tamariki can talk confidently about being kind and respectful. They can demonstrate what this looks like and are working to put it into practise in the playground.
The kit was helpful with the visual postcards and prompting scenario questions to support the children with thinking about kindness in a everyday setting. The use of copertaive activites for the children supported the concept of kindness e.g writing a poem about kindness. This Kit was more suitable for children Year 3 up not so much for Year 1's.
