How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Being able to explicitly teach prosocial behaviours has been great. Also using the stickers each day gave the kids time to reflect on their day and what they could have done differently or what went well for them.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The class is more connected and more children are friends with people who they were not friends with at the beginning of teaching this resource. It was also great to be able to discuss the topics with the whole class.

The sticker books were great for the kids as it motivated them to include other children that they may not have already been friends with. Many children in my classroom made new friend through this.

“This kit was great to bring out after we had been off school for lockdown. It made the children think about others and how they were feeling. Their favourite part was standing on the battery charger and moving their name when their battery was charged again.”

Those students who are natural leaders listened to and started building on the ideas of others during both class discussions and the STEM activitie

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Developing the students knowledge about how other people may feel. Working with 5 year old's new to school, they can be quite ego-centered so it was great being able to bring this idea into the classroom in a different format using the ideas from this kit

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? As stated above we were looking at empathy so it really tied in well to back up the school vision.

Talking about how we can charge peoples batteries by making them happy, and included, and looking after them when they are upset all helped to develop their understanding of what it means to be emapthetic.

“This is a fantastic, very timely resource. Due to the major interruptions caused by Covid 19 and the Lockdown, we have not completed our use of this kit - we had only just begun the kit a week before Lockdown and only just now have our full compliment of students back for term 3. So I am going to reintroduce the kit during week1 of term 3 and we will continue to use it. My students are very eager to get back to it.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? As mentioned above, the emphasis on inclusivity and realising we can be friendly without having to be ‘best friends’.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? All children now more confident with asking others to play or work together. Also, branching out of their small friendship groups (resilience!!)

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The children liked the charging station and using the battery. The children became good at giving compliments.

The children know what a respectful relationship should look like and sound like. They still find it hard to keep positive with their classmates all of the time. The question/scenario cards were useful.

“My class absolutely loved the playtime project. I then noticed a significant shift in the classes ability to connect with each other. Children seemed happier. How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The children loved finding different children within the class with to play with. By using the coloured stickers and the playground lunch project, the children were encouraged to play with others and make everyone feel happy and special.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The children enjoyed sharing with their families what we were discussing in the classroom and when parents were in the classroom they keenly showed them our display on the wall and talked to them what it all meant.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? It helped us focus on empathy and the importance of it in the classroom and life. Complimented the Resilience Project we are teaching this year, particularly the breathing to calm and noticing how others are feeling. Some aspects, like the Story Telling

“This was another incredible resource. Loved that it was open ended so could pick and choose what I did and when. The kids learnt so much about themselves and about their emotions. Definitely something I am planning to use again next year as well.”
