All of these skills are very useful during these uncertain covid times. Only challenge is having many children away over various times in the term. This is a challenge for any topic though.

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? It has opened students up to the idea of playing with others, and how other people may feel in different situations. We have a class saying of 'Be Kind Anyway' and this kit fit so well in with that.

I think the Playground Project is a real winner to build community and closer more respectful relationships. Discussing the battery and what charges a battery and what flattens it was also a winner giving the children a visual for a complex idea.”

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? This has led to a much calmer and friendlier atmosphere as children are focused on the positives and looking for ways to show respect and charge each other's battery.

As children have been isolating and returning to school a lot of them were struggling to make friends. The play lunch project helped children find and make new friends as well as notice children who did't have someone to play with.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? It definitely helped quieter members of the class who are not so social to get out of their comfort zones and because of the playground play bookletit became normal for them to be more social with and get to now a wide variety of children.

At times this was hard during covid to implement because often children were away for extended periods. It did however help to rekindle relationships when the children came back after being away.
