The kit allowed my young learners to keep in mind how important their actions are and be aware of the consequences of their good deeds. It enabled them to understand that each person has his/her good and bad days and they have to respect that.

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? Our classroom is more aware of including others and how we all think and feel differently. The breathing to clam and breathing to sing was a popular resource that they children liked doing together.

The kit helped children settle back into school and to understand that people have different emotions when returning to school. It also helped when things were different or had to change.

“This kit was great for my Year 0-2 class. The content linked really nicely to our teaching around the Zones of Regulation. The children found the visuals and activities engaging, but some were hard to adapt for the neurodiversity and range of additional learning needs in the classroom. We will definitely be revisiting some of the activities later in the year to consolidate the teaching and revisit the ideas that came out of class discussions.”
