How has this kit influenced your classroom community? It was great to be able to send a questionnaire home with the kids and get parent feedback. we didn't get too many replies from whanau unfortunately but this isn't uncommon at our kura.

How have the components of Respectul Relationships helped develop your student's understanding of what a respectful relationship is? This didn't apply to much as we did it in Term 4 when there hasn't been too many COVID absences but it was great to chat to parents about the kit so allowed us to connect with them a bit more.

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? Students come in thinking about their energy levels and feelings - are they ready for the day? Are we in our learning brain? This has created discussions around how we can help others get ready and support them to feel better throughout the day.

How have the components of Respectul Relationships helped develop your student's understanding of what a respectful relationship is? This has been great to develop relationships when most people has been wary of others. Students have been able to bring the skills out onto the school playground.

“A great kit. The children are always excited when a kit arrives and we wonder what is inside. We started this half way through term 1 and continued into term 2 . It contained some great tools and tips for building and strengthening relationships in the class and playground.”

“Loved this kit. Second time round using it. Charging ourselves up every day really focused the individual students on how they were feeling. The Playground lunch booklets were also really effective as it showed kids that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. They learnt how to join n with others and to be more empathetic. We also loved looking at the poster and asking lots of questions and noticing ehat was going on. Totally rate this kit. Thank you.”
