“We loved sharing our time with each other during the play lunch project. It was lovely to see as a teacher the connections students made with others that they would never interact with. We used the battery or how we felt towards learning every day and often it was just about how we felt that day. Some students even used it each block as they were free to move it when they felt like it. Wonderful Resource. Thank you”

“The kit had a couple great projects for the children to get involved in. However, the instructions and content we found were a little too tricky for our children to wrap their heads around so we didn't finish all of the projects in order. The quality of the resources was great.”

As Covid has kept many students home for so long, it was nice to have this kit to reinforce what respectful relationships look like and how we can show this inside our classroom.

By the end of teaching this kit, students seemed to have a good understanding of what respectful relationships are and what this can look like in a classroom setting as well as at home.

“This is the second time I have done this kit and both times have been a huge hit. There were some differences in the kit this time which also made it interesting for me doing it the second time. The quality of the resources is outstanding. I love the challenge it put on the tamariki to build new relationships within the class.”

This kit has many useful relevant activities that allow the children to talk about, reason and share thier thoughts and feeling

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? There has been less 'falling out' with friends as the children are better able to reason and problem solve.

As some children have had quite a bit of time off school as a result of covid, many of these children have had to reestablish thier place at school and reconect with their peers. Having activities like the 'Playground Project' has helped them do this.
