How has this kit influenced your classroom community? We saw new friendships form, and some guidance around spending time with peers that we normally wouldn't spend time with.

How have the components of Respectul Relationships helped develop your student's understanding of what a respectful relationship is? This was a timely kit, as my students had spent a lot of time apart from their peers (we are in Auckland). So it was good to have some support and guidance on building positive relationships and having a supportive and caring classroom environment.

“The Respectful Relationships kit is one of my favourite school kits to use with the students - especially at the moment with so many being affected by Covid. It helped the students challenge themselves to play and meet with other people during the break times, and another class was also using it, so it worked across classes. We also tied this into our learning around Te Whare Wha this term. For our battery, we linked this into being bucket fillers and dippers and thinking about how each of us can charge our battery in different ways. We learnt how it is excellent if we can share this with other people in the class, so they know how to fill our bucket too.”

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? Students are playing with others who they do not play with often and they are doing this with other children around the school from other year levels. It is amazing to see my students (Year 2) helping and playing with new students in year 1.
