It didn't really because as a mum of a child the same age as the children I teach - I'm very aware of the realities of what our kids are exposed to online and is one of the many reasons I felt so strongly about teaching the unit.

I had a situation with one of the scenario cards which talked about a girl getting her period - this was an awkward moment as one of my 9 year old girls had no idea what a period was and openly asked - so I had to talk to the class about this on the fly -

What was something that surprised you about your class throughout the teaching and learning of this kit?
There were quite vast differences in the kinds of boundaries different students had at their homes, this seemed to link in with how informed their parents were.
