“The kit was very well set out, and easy to follow. The tamariki have thoroughly enjoyed being able to be a part of this movement. It helped to ignite a passion in some of my tamariki. We contributed to Caritas who then is able to help with Emergencies around the Pasific Islands and in this case helping raise money for the recent typhoon experienced in the Phillipines. “We did this more as a class project rather than individual groups. We decided that we would raise some funds to support a local charity and help those in need. As a school we support Caritas but wanted to support some more local. We made soap and are in the process of selling them to parents and people in the community and if it’s proves to be popular, we’ll make some more. We have experimented with different colours and scents and looked into packaging and advertising in order to sell out soap. The children have had different roles within the soap making and advertising process. As always the kits are so professionally done and are engaging and easy to use to support what we do in the classroom and beyond. Thank you”
