“This created SO much enthusiasm and discussion! Easily the best kit I've tried so far. Great feedback from parents too around students being more willing to try different food at home. Several students were so engaged that they took their research to the next level and designed a whole school Masterchef challenge. It was timely as we had just moved out of measurement and the kids were able to transfer knowledge into measuring quantities and replaces other ingredients. “Our class loved this kit. They were super engaged with the science at the beginning and then the practicality of making and constructing based on trial and error. They learnt some key science vocabulary. We loved the options they were provided and it even sparked an interest for them to share at home and experiment with other alternatives out of a can. We are incredibly grateful for this kit and the experiences it provided many kids.”

The class enjoyed researching about different chemical reactions as well as finding about about the substitute ingredients and working out the quantities. It would have been great if I had access to more digital scales as it made the process bit slower.

“Great activity. When I asked my Y4 children, "Would you eat vegetable cake?"few seemed keen. But once the muffins were baked, there was not one crumb left! Good that children could see that reducing sugar and adding vegetables was not so bad after all ;) If doing in a class of 30, you'll have to do this activity in small groups.”
