My students developed an understanding of the links between science and maths, and also statistics and number. We also read a number of journal and Connected articles about the water cycle, and water testing, so this also linked in literacy and Te Ao Māor

We did quite a bit of revision on the water cycle itself, and freshwater systems before launching into the kit, and I think this helped my students understand the importance of freshwater systems in general to the population, but also the cultural link. I
