Superior product. Stage is set for a life time of cooking on my new favourite cooking toy. Seasoned up and good to go.

I love this frying pan that I bought another one. One wasn't big enough for our family of 4 so we had to buy another pan.

I really love these pans. This is the second one I've bought. I already had the wok style but wanted a flat style pan as well. With both pans I seasoned on a gas stovetop several times before using them, and I find them to be really good for non-stick. I cook eggs in it every day and they never stick. The only thing to be wary of is it's not good to cook tomato/lemon/other acidic foods in them. The website says that after a while it may be possible once the seasoning has built up more, but yet to try that. I put tomato in early on and the pan did not react well. It wasn't a problem as I just seasoned it a couple more times and it was back to normal, but maybe continually doing this could be time consuming. But apart from this, the pans are great.

Despite following the instrictions re seasoning and washing food sticks to it and it is hard to clean. In short it failed to live up to its "promise. It was not cheap so the disappointment is worse.

Hi Gary, Thanks for your feedback. The key to non-stick in iron pans is good fat and heat management. Medium heat is the new high with wrought iron pans. Ensure your pan is clean and the surface is smooth before every cook. Build-up on your cooking surface i.e. feels rough, is likely to be carbon (baked-on food and fat), this will act like velcro. If your cooking surface is usually smooth, and food is still sticking more than you like, it will only be a matter of managing your heat and fat. Less heat is required for wrought iron as it is a superior conductor of heat. In summary, make sure you've done any required seasoning and the cooking surface is smooth. Use less heat initially than you're used to, though ensure your pan is hot enough before you start cooking and you may need to turn down the heat once you add your fats. Avoid turning food too early, allow the pan to release your food, then turn. For more information check out our Iron Care Guide on our website: https://www.solidteknics.com/ironcare

This is my third Soliteknics pan and I love them all, but I super love this one in particular because it is the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. I also love these products as they are multigenerational, sustainable and don’t have a toxic coatings. And it’s already seasoned so I just get to jump right in and cook :)
