The Sunfood Differenceâ„¢
These delectable pitted Peruvian Herbed Black Botija olives are packed with nutrition and beautifying oleic acid, a heart-healthy monounsaturated fat.
Our certified organic, fully raw, and naturally ripe Botija olives are hand selected, sea-salt cured, and low-temperature dried for an extraordinary olive experience. Many black olives are picked long before they are ripe, then artificially softened and darkened with a chemical treatment. We prefer pure olive flavor; no chemicals, no preservatives.

These have been a favorite of mine since first available. I add them to salad or mix with avocado, kale chips and hemp seeds. Wish they had larger [bulk] size and better price and consistent stock. After buying a lot during sale (due to Best By Date expiration) but they haven't restocked. Hope it hasn't been discontinued. There's nothing else available. There used to be more brands available 15-20 years ago.

My grandmother introduced me to olives when I was three years old, and I've been eating them ever since. But discovering your olives about five years ago took my love of olives to another level. They are absolutely amazing, and I eat them with every meal...breakfast included! Thanks for your quality standards and attention to detail. We are the beneficiaries of your goodness!

The herbed black botija olives are good in my opinion and they would get 5 stars if it were just up to me but I had to take 2 stars off because the rest of my household doesn't feel the same way. My Husband did not like them at all, he said they were way too salty! He feels like they're much saltier than the plain black olives. My Daughter did not like them either, she said they're rubbery and not as soft as the plain black olives. I think the harder texture was probably because they were dated good through Sept 2023 and we received them in Sept 2023. Sunfoods was really good about it and they sent us replacement bags of olives that were good through December 2023. I appreciate their effort to make it right but my Daughter feels like the replacements are still too rubbery. I used them to toss into my beet and cucumber salad (see attached photo) but for the sake of family unity, I won't order the herbed olives anymore. I'll be ordering the plain black botija olives from now on because we all agree they're delicious.

I trust Sunfood Company. This is a Good Company that sells organic, healthy, and delicious products. I ordered the organic black Botija, pitted, herbed olives for a 50% price. A Great Deal! I don't mind that they are closed to the expiration date. I keep them in the coldest part of my refrigerator, so I can enjoy them for a long time. I add one in my fresh vegetable salad; one in my fish or meat bowl; one in my eggs with flaxseed powder and Hemp seeds. I don't add any salt to my food. The olives bring out the flavor of my food. Yumm! I bought 12 packs and had free FedEx shipping. Cool! Thank you so very much for Sunfood Company selling these awesome olives!

These olives are the best. Love the bitterness and slight saltiness. I like to add a little extra virgin olive oil before munching. Great snack as is.

I love the Botija olives, and recently I have been ordering the Herbed, pitted black Botija olives. In fact, I ordered five extra bags to give for presents. They enhance every meal. They are very satisfying and like I said above after eating one I feel well fed.
