“We have tried numerous smokeless fuels. This is by far the best. High heat , little ash. I think this is maybe the 3rd or 4th tonne we have had. Delivery turned up as promised. Driver was good.”
“No up to your usual high standard. The fuel has been packaged wet. It is soaking wet inside of the bags. It makes it hard to light and very messy if a lump is accidentally dropped when adding to the fire. Some of the bags are also ripped on the pallet. Delivery guy was very good as usual.”
“Sorry to say I am sending my 1 ton order back because it is soaking wet and heavily covered in 'slack'....a wet dirty dust coating my product and which, even when dry, burns giving off (reportedly) a 'dirty' smoke. Not a by product one wants from a 'Smokeless' fuel.
Whilst it is not the suppliers fault(rules say it must be stored in the open) I am disappointed that they still sell a product that is essentially unuseable.
This product is delivered in poly bags so is unable to 'breathe' and dry out naturally. If left for a number of months in sealed bags I suspect the product would seriously deteriorate.
Unless you have somewhere to open the bags to let the product dry out naturally then, as suggested to me by the supplier, it is best to order your supplies in the 'dryer' weather. I might just do that but will ask first to check if the product is dry.”
“Out of 50 , the first 8 bags opened, half the contents was wet slack, the remaining was soaking wet covered in course slack. I've opened up the bags required for the week to dry out but end up putting it on the fire wet
The delivery was on time, the driver was very helpful and dropped the pallet next to our shed. We'll be changing supplier.”
“The ordering process was easy, the delivery went as planned and the coal is of good quality as described.
The only reason for not awarding 5 stars was that first the pallet that the 1 ton load was nowhere near strong enough to carry such weight and had collapsed. Somewhere in the process of it being delivered from the suppier another pallet had been added under the original one which worked but the first one was very flimsey for the weight it had to carry.
Possibly because of the collapsed pallet, two of the bags had been been punctured by forklift forks at some point but i dont believe that much or any of the coal had been lost thankfully.”
