“Positives: Nice dock and outdoor seating area Negatives: Light bulbs were out, microwave didn't work, house in somewhat of disrepair Biggest disappointment was having to go to the corner store as soon as we woke up the first day because the vacation rental company does not stock the house with coffee. Having even a single serving of coffee for the coffee pot just in case patrons get in late the night before would be a huge improvement.”

“For the price the stay was good, the home is a bit outdated and needs some improvements both in the interior and exterior. It's a great location,nice set up and nicely decorated just needs some improvement such as new paint job in and out the house and the siding of the house needs to be replaced, restrooms could use some upgrades as well as the beds. Other than them few things house is nice and stay was fun.”

“We were disappointed when we drove up and saw the unpainted house snd viewed the rotten boards around the outside and deck. Nails were sticking up and it was unsafe. Inside was clean and comfortable except for the master bedroom ceiling fan made so much noise and was unstable to use. We thought the price we paid was not worth this rental. The Bent Rod makes Ryson Rentals look bad and I know you must have other more appealing properties for rent. Linda Power”

“We were very disappointed in this rental property. We were very shocked when we drove up and saw the unpainted house with rotting boards. The deck also had some rotted boards and a lot of nails sticking up. It was unsafe. The inside was clean and comfortable except for the ceiling fan in the Master bedroom. It was very noisy and unbalanced. We couldn't use it for fear of it falling. Several outlet boxes were pulled away from the wall. It was certainly Not worth the rental price we paid. Ryson needs to inspect and have owners make repairs. The Bent Rod makes Ryson Rentals look bad. I know you have other properties that are more appealing. Linda Power”

“Thank you- Ryson team We had a good stay at the Bent Rod. Location was private, peaceful, relaxing. The house dated buys appeared to be in slow renovation phase. The patio was a plus with the covered patio. We sat and listened to the rain over some champagne. Very relaxing and dry lounge area. The only minor issue, was that the light switches didi not turn anything on or off. I had to turn the lamp on at the source? My wife fell going up the dark stairwell, luckily she was ok. Anyways, the pros outweighed the con. The circleK was very convenient for coffee and such. WiFi was fine, no issues at all which was better than the city’s WiFi . Small suggestion, a ramp for handicap access would make it easier loading and unloading our luggage and goodies. Thank you for a nice relaxing vacation. Sam and Vicki”

“Pros- The description of the property was accurate. Well furnished home, clean, nice neighborhood and amenities as shown. Check-in was easy and rental company responsive. Cons- The property is more rundown than then photos tell. Flooring cracked, wallpaper pealing, electrical switches and plugs not all working, and air conditioning couldn't keep up. I expected more upkeep for the price point.”

“Inside of home was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed to make our stay like being at home. Outside needed some cosmetic repairs, but that is to be expected on the coast with the damp salty air. Enjoyed fishing right off the lower deck. House is close to everything you need. We will definitely stay at this unit again.”
