Terrible customer service - beware of this company. I ordered shoes from Alpinetrek.co.uk, but never received them. The delivery company left the parcel outside my residential building—in an unsafe and insecure location—where it was stolen before I got home. Alpinetrek is now refusing to take responsibility, claiming my address was "authorised as a safe place." I did not authorise the parcel to be left outside the building. Under UK consumer law, specifically the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the retailer—not the delivery company—is responsible for the goods until they are in the physical possession of the consumer or someone they have explicitly authorised. Leaving a parcel unattended outside a building without my permission does not constitute delivery. Alpinetrek.co.uk’s refusal to replace or refund the item is not only unreasonable, it’s potentially unlawful. I’m now out of pocket, with no product, and no support from the retailer. Avoid Alpinetrek.co.uk if you expect basic accountability and compliance with your consumer rights.
