A text received on Sunday 16/7/23 stated thst the appliance would be delivered the following morning and that the driver would contact me 30 minutes before delivery. No such contact was made by the driver, and when he delivered it, I was taking a shower which I would not have done if I had had the 30 minutes of advance notice of delivery. The appliance had to be left outside the house as it was too heavy for the driver to get it inside and my 64 year old wife couldn't help. I am 74 years old and I had to wait for my son to help me manoeuvre it inside. At my age, this was not easy. It would have been helpful if the advance contact had been carried out as per the text message. It would also have been helpful if the delivery had been made by a 2 man team. The packaging has not yet been removed from the appliance as I am waiting for the kitchen fitter to give his availabilty to install it, so at this stage it is impossible to tell if the appliance is undamaged. I reserve the right to report on the condition of the appliance at a later date. Overall, I am extremely disappointed by the lack of communication by Appliances Direct delivery agent and would think twice before ordering another major appliance from this business.
