DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY We ordered a cooker from Appliance Direct and because of an elderly family member being very ill with dementia and then cancer which sadly resulted in his death, we did not install our kitchen and the cooker remained in full package and unopened in the dining room. When our electrician finally attempted to install the cooker, he was unable to, as he remarked that the cooker had been dented from the back. He also said the whole chassis had been moved out of place, resulting in 2cm gap between front and back of the cooker, and because of this, the knobs on the cooker could not turn. I then contacted by Appliance Direct and sent pictures and they agreed to refund us £90 or £100 off the cost of a new cooker. Even though this was a substantial loss, we agreed as we did appreciate that it was 11 months since we had received the cooker. A week later Appliance Direct texted me and advised that they would not be able to refund the £90.00 as previously advised. When I queried why, they did not reply. We are now stuck with a cooker that is unusable through no fault of our own. I have now seen other reviews with damaged products received. I would not recommend this company as they not trustworthy. We have contacted the manufacture who sent an engineer and has also agreed that the cooker must have been damaged in transit.
