Never again!
I received a £130 jacket from Deporvillage, but unfortunately, it was just slightly one size too small. I then followed the returns process as instructed on their website and returned the item via my local UK post office to Deporvillage (which FYI, is in Spain and did cost a small fortune for tracking services etc.). Long story short, delivery of the returned jacket was attempted by the courier but there was no one at the site at the time. The courier then issued Deporvillage with a 'missed delivery card' instructing them that the returned item was available to collect from their local delivery office / depot. However, despite the returned package remaining uncollected for the best part of a month and regular prompts via email from myself notifying them of it's whereabouts, Deporvillage failed to collect it. The package was then subsequently returned to my home address. I then contacted Deporvillage again via email who responded with the exact same email three times:
"You have processed the return by your own means, that means that, until it is accepted in our warehouse, Deporvillage is not responsible for your return, so we recommend that you contact the shipping company to check the status of your return.
If it appears as delivered, we ask that you provide us with proof of delivery with the stamp of our warehouse to verify that it has been delivered and to be able to proceed with the refund."
Now, obviously, I can't show proof it was delivered and stamped by their warehouse because no one was there and it was sitting in the couriers depot waiting for collection! I have shown proof that delivery was attempted and the item then went unclaimed in the couriers depot. I have requested to speak to someone from the management team. I have requested if they could organise a pick up from my home address of the jacket. I have requested a copy of their complaints procedure and now, after repeating the same email to me three times, they've just opted to ignore me.
Ultimately, Deporvillage provides abhorrent customer service and given you have to make any returns from the UK to Spain, it's a complete pain in the posterior. My advice would be stay well clear.
