This was my first time using DoorDash, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I wanted to surprise my dad with a nice lunch delivered to his job, so I asked him not to bring lunch that day. Just minutes before the scheduled delivery, the dasher canceled the order. I reached out to customer service and was told I’d receive a refund in 3–5 business days. While I appreciate that, this wasn’t about the money — it was about the intention and diligence. My dad ended up without lunch, and I felt really embarrassed. I hope DoorDash can improve reliability moving forward, especially when customers are depending on the service for thoughtful moments like this.
