EO’s treatment of its customers is simply unacceptable.
I recently received an email informing me that, as of 30 November 2025, EO will no longer support the Mini Pro 2 charger via their app. This effectively disables all smart functionality, including scheduled charging, charger locking (to prevent electricity theft), solar integration, and access to charging session history. EO does not offer a solution nor does it offer any compensation!
This is not a minor inconvenience—it fundamentally degrades the value and usability of the product. For a charger installed just over four years ago, this is completely unacceptable. A product of this type and cost should offer a service life of at least 10–12 years.
EO claims the decision is due to regulatory changes introduced in 2022. However, those regulations apply to new products sold after that date, not to existing installations. Moreover, as the Mini Pro 2 supports software updates, EO should either provide a firmware upgrade to ensure compliance or enable local software hosting to maintain functionality. Their decision to discontinue app support without a viable alternative demonstrates a clear disregard for their customers and any notion of product longevity.
EO is failing in its obligation to provide a reasonable product lifespan and post-sale support. In my view, this raises serious questions about their corporate accountability and fitness to operate in this industry.
