At 1156am on 3/10/25 Evri emailed me with delivery promised between 12.30 and 14.30 on 2nd October 2024. I waited in all day and at 16.30 I went on their web chat to enquire of its whereabouts but the 'robot' said they would escalate it and someone would ring me. Nobody rang me. At 20.55 on the dame day I received an email from Evri saying, "There's a delay with the delivery of your Lavazza Coffee parcel as there was an issue accessing the delivery address today. We'll let you know when your parcel will be out for delivery".
They DID NOT let me know when it would be delivered and it turned up at 19.31 today, 4/10/24 (the day after it was promised!).
I'd waited in all day again. The delivery driver apologised for the late delivery, saying the reason was because she'd had problems with her car (as opposed to the reason Evri had given me that there was an issue with accessing the delivery address!! I believe the driver - delivers to me fairly regularly. Don't the drivers have my phone number? Couldn't I have been contacted well before nearly 9pm to tell me it was going to be next day?
To sum up, I see Evri as extremely unprofessional in not contacting me at least by phone or text and also dishonest in giving me a false reason for the delay. Evri has NO customer service.
I would NEVER, EVER use them for any of my outgoing deliveries and I shall also inform the senders of my late package (a very large company who I do regular business with) urging them to look at other delivery companies rather than Evri - because I do not want to receive deliveries by them again either!
PS. The 2 stars is for the very nice and polite delivery driver and the fact that it was eventually delivered - otherwise it would have been 1 star!
