I've been wearing Karen Millen for 25 years and always loved the excellent quality and unique designs. I have dresses, jackets and suits in my wardrobe that have never gone out of style and look as good now as when I bought them. How disappointing then that, having been taken over by BooHoo, the quality has nosedived so dramatically. My order of 3 t-shirts, a top and a dress arrived this morning. I haven't been able to buy KM for a couple of years as I have been on Carer's Allowance while I looked after my Dad but I came into some funds and decided to treat myself. I was especially pleased that they had a sale on - 40% off everything! It sounded almost too good to be true - and of course it was! There's nothing really 'wrong' with the items, they are probably worth what I paid for them (apart from the dress which has a REALLY cheap plastic belt which I will be throwing away) and, reading others' experiences of returning goods, I will be keeping them but they certainly won't be part of my wardrobe in ten or even 5 years time, unlike my KM classics. The t-shirts don't even have a KM label in them, only the cardboard tag identifies them as anything other than bog standard cheapy Ts. It's a sad day indeed. Take a tip from me and go on Ebay to buy genuine KM items which will last years. You'll be doing the environment a favour too.
