OK - I'm a product designer so I like to think I know a decent consumer good from a poor one. We have purchased a number of Gtech cleaners for our two homes but unfortunately only purchased one of them from Lakeland but that will change in the future.... Our original Gtech Mk2 cleaner did indeed come from Lakeland - complete with a 3 year guarantee. At 2 years 10 months old the clip holding the handle on broke. We rang Lakeland - They sent us a brand new unit WITH A FRESH 3 YEAR GUARANTEE!!! out to us. We downloaded a prepaid label to return the old one. I thought this kind of customer service went out with the ark and I am damn annoyed we purchased other ones elsewhere. It is now a no-brainer - if we want it and Lakeland sell it then that is where we buy it.
