Having had a disasterous experience with another (now defunct) online computer company 11 years ago I had said I would in the future be extremely careful of any future purchases. However I should not have feared ... From start to finish PC Specialist have been superb. I made many many inquiries through friends and colleagues about my next choice and PC Specialist's name came up time and time again. Not only was the selection of specific specilist components through their website extremely easy to navigate compaired to sites, but the PCS prices were very competetive too. It's really easy to specify a machine in a straightforward logical way with running total to keep inline with your budget. The overall ordering process is clearly laid out and timescales for each stage are openly explained so you can see what is happening, and be informed with helpful updates as the build progresses. Delivery happened earlier than expected and the machine arrived by courier, well protected. Installation had a small hiccough in that it didn't boot as expected into Windows 11 wecome page but went instead straight to Bios. This could be worrysome for some inexperienced customers, however the Asus Bios is so clear it was simply a matter of agreeing and saving the current setting and then exiting. Maybe this step was forgotten in the testing install process, but it wasn't a major DOA issue - although could be for many! The build quality of my base unit is superb. I'm very happy. No loose wires or unexpected rattles. Nothing required adjusting or re-seating. I plugged in my existing Graphics Card and connected to the power lead that was thoughtfully pre positioned ready. I'd already told PCS what type of Graphics Card would be installed. Only a basic driver was loaded so this was a little suprising that it was a relatively old generic one, but it was enough to get up and running and download latest from NVidia. A big box of surplus fittings, wire connectors, screws etc from the build was also sent together with Windows 11 Pro on a USB stick as a re-install back-up. (the licence number however is not clearly evident, but that is probably me not knowing where to look! lol). My new machine now is extremely fast. It fully boots up from cold in just a few seconds. Overall I'm delighted by the whole experience and pleased that I decided to trust PC Specialist with my build. 5*
