Very pleased with quality of hardware, build and advice from PCSpecialist. (Recommended by my son, who did some shopping around a couple of years ago.) I'm not up to speed with modern hardware and I'm not inclined to spend time learning. I wanted quiet and lots of VRAM, and I got both. It's been a while since I had a desktop machine. The Fractal Define 7 case seems astonishing value. And the whole thing is quieter than my MSI laptop. If it does make audible noise under load, it's a satisfying kinda HAL9000 rumble that says 'meh' to whatever I throw at it. The first computer I bought with my own money (1992-ish, before the web had pictures on it) cost £1300 and had a 40MB hard drive and 1MB of RAM, half of which wasn't even used by most software. I've done computers from end-user to programmer to procurement and all the coprporate works. I quickly felt comfortable dealing with PCSpecialist due to the sensible configuration options. Generally, you need to put in a bit of legwork to determine what you need and to get it at the best price. But even if you can't be bothered with the legwork, I don't think PCSpecialist will lead you astray. (Do poke around in their various configurators. You might spend more than you intended; but equally, you might avoid spending more than you need to.)
