I don’t know about their ability to process a claim because I had no problems with my car, but I have a real issue with their business practices. They popped up after I rented a car through kayak and Priceline in France and I was in a hurry, so I just ticked yes because I, usually take out a policy outside the US.
Two weeks later I rented a car through a different online curator and Rental Cover automatically wrote a policy and charged me for it. There was never even a pop-up. How did they know I was even online and renting a car! I was renting through a completely different company. I just got an email from them that said that they had charged me for an insurance policy for the dates of the new car rental. I certainly wouldn’t click on any additional insurance since I have my own insurance in the states. This is overbearing and truly an overreach into my online affairs! Cybercrime really, to automatically write me a policy that I have to then turn around and cancel. This is a good example of AI running wild. For this reason alone, I will never use them again.
