Having read reviews and checking the coverage in my area, I activated my new Smarty sim card this week. It's been a disaster. Poor data speeds, loss of 4g and long periods with no connectivity at all. Can't even access my banking app. Below is Smarty's response to the situation.

I checked the network in your area and it's congested. Team are aware and trying to fix it ASAP. Being super busy means you may experience call or data connection issues. Just too many users connecting to the same mast."
Totally unacceptable. Please be warned before subscribing.
