Delivering my pets ashes to my house.
No one is at my house.
They leave a form with a number. I am not at my house. I do not have the number.
I am a member of the UPS my choice. I go there to try to reschedule. They need the number on the piece of paper they left at my house.
I don't have it. I call the automated line. I try to get a human. They will not give me a human, 3 times. I call another number from Reddit. I get a human. They try to send me back to the first number. THIS EFFICIENCY and cost savings for them HAS TAKEN AN HOUR OF MY DAY! I have done all the things a customer should do to manage this hiccup... and your system turns a hiccup into terminal cancer. I still have not managed to reschedule the delivery of my pets ashes. I love my UPS driver. He's a great guy. The person I FINALLY got on the phone was nice. The humans work. The AI doesn't. Somewhere a CEO just got a bonus for building this crappy system.
