I paid extra for fast home delivery, expecting my parcel within the promised 3-day timeframe. Instead, UPS took 4 days to drop the parcel at a convenience store for collection — a cheaper service I never agreed to.
The following day, I called customer service. They told me the parcel would be delivered to my home “within the day, maybe in an hour.” I waited — but a few hours later, I received a call from a private number saying they couldn’t deliver it at all, and my only options were to go collect it myself or wait until sometime next week.
I had no choice but to collect the parcel myself from the convenience store — wasting my time and effort.
To make matters worse, the tracking information only changed to ‘delivered’ and ‘received’ after I collected the parcel myself, falsely implying the delivery was completed at my home. This is completely untrue — no UPS courier ever came to my house.
So, I paid for a service I never received, had to do all the legwork, and I’m still waiting for the £5 refund for the downgraded delivery.
If you want to be treated like a donkey, waste your money, time, and be misled by false tracking and poor customer service, then UPS is the company for you. Otherwise, avoid them completely.
