First, I have always thought highly of UPS. I had a positive experience working for them while in college many years ago, and I have friends that work or worked for them. BUT, my recent experience with their Mail Innovations program has been horrendous. I ordered merchandise from Sweetwater Music, and they sent it by this means of delivery. I gather it is a lower priced service where the package is handed off to USPS for final delivery. [This also enables blame shifting between the parties; i.e. sort of a shell game that you are guaranteed to lose.] The package was promptly shipped and then got stuck somewhere "pending acceptance." UPS then changed the expected delivery date daily, so far, 8 times. I still don't have the package. When I attempted to find out if it was going to be pending in the black hole forever, UPS said that type of delivery did not qualify to make a claim. To their credit Sweetwater shipped the order again, without charge, by FedEx. Maybe some day I will get the package from UPS.
