I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis that I swore was reacting to my diet. I needed to find consistency in my diet and health goals so I could determine if my RA was flaring due to my eating habits, stress, etc. I had felt like my previous efforts were all-encompassing or completely neglectful. I've always had a desire for fitness, but what was missing? Giving myself credit. Shifting my outlook. I hesitated because I thought I knew what I needed to do to maintain a healthy lifestyle. With MyBodyTutor, I learned to give myself credit for small achievements (because they are just as fulfilling and lead to big ones). I lost ten pounds, gained knowledge of how my body reacts to the nourishment I'm feeding it, and feel empowered to listen to my wants and needs. That last point is huge for me—it's triggered changes outside of food and exercise too. MyBodyTutor is different because it's an accountability program that works within your own innate boundaries. It doesn't set your boundaries for you, which is very empowering. I'm so grateful to MyBodyTutor (especially Margeaux). She always found a positive when I was thinking negative, and not in a forced way, in an informed, "this makes sense" way. She was consistent for me so I could find the habits I could continue consistently on my own. When I wasn't consistent, we made changes together on the path towards my goals. Apparently, there are several route options to the same goal. :)
