“Een formidabel tuig om espresso te maken. Degelijk gebouwd, het is vrij zwaar en mooi om naar te kijken. Het heeft mij wel een vijftiental koffies gekost om de juiste afstelling te vinden maar sedertdien slagen ze altijd. Ik kreeg aanvankelijk op het einde grote, kwade bellen en de koffie was veel te bitter. Het duurde ook te lang, nl zes en halve minuut eer de koffie tevoorschijn kwam. Blijkbaar was mijn fout dat ik het op een te laag vuut zette (was: hoogste vuur op het kleinste pitje. Moest zijn: grootste vuur op middelgroot pitje). De koffie moet inderdaad voor espresso gemalen zijn, 't is te zeggen fijn. Ik heb de koffie ook wel eens té fijn gemalen, dan kreeg ik een paar centiliters olie. Soit: leuk ding waarmee ge goede espresso kunt maken en anders ook een beetje kunt experimenteren. Enige minpuntje: geen uitleg in het Nederlands of het Frans.”

“My favorite moment of the day is my morning cappuccino and the barista approaches the quality of a commercial Italian espresso machine. The machine is very sensitive to all the steps and does not tolerate temperatures well requiring some investment in trial and error and some focus but all that contribute to elevate your experience as every shot is an active act of care.”

“I adore 9 Barista and own two for my own use so I can make two pots for myself at once. The valve has burst many times. The first time I ordered replacements, it took over two months When I contacted to say I hadn’t received them yet, they said sometimes mail took a long time. Eventually the parts came. After that I planned for a long delivery time which was usually was under a month. Just recently I ordered 10 more safety valves and got them in a few days. I was thrilled. I think they must have a supplier now in the US Nothing makes better coffeefor me than 9Barista( and I have had MANY stove top coffee makers )n so I have been patient”

“Best coffee pot ever for espresso! I have purchased 9Barista with Varia VS3. This is my new routine for creating a nice express every day. Very small detail, but there should be a good / large reminder in the box saying do not put the pot long time on heat (after creating expresso or even during experimenting the level of coffee grinding and the quality of coffee), otherwise we will impair the ring and need to order other rings to repair, due to the safety mechanism.”

“Unique coffee gadget! The 9Barista is a very special coffee making instrument. Sure the major coffee reviewers rightly say that its drawback is the fixed parameters regarding pressure and temperature, but all things the same i enjoy a cup from the 9Barista more than from my Breville. This is something that i did not expect when purchasing the 9Barista - that i would be able to taste the difference so distinctly. So perhaps the difference in taste may not be as big when you make coffee on a La Marzocco...which steers me toward the next gadget/machine :) (this theory should perhaps first be tested) I am very pleased with the build quality - it is a job well done. One accessory that may be popular is an acrylic stand offering an "exploded view" of the machine in its storage position. One alternative to the design may be to produce a metal chimney?”
