Ridiculous christmas return policy. Rude staff

I purchased a mans t shirt as a Christmas present on 30th November, i was advised by assistant that if not suitable to keep the receipt as the receipt covers purchases from 1st Nov to 6th January . When I got home I realised he size of the t.shirt was different to the hanger, it was on a larger sized hanger, I returned to the store 3 days later, the assistant was both rude and offensive, the receipt I had accidentally left at home, so immediately got the response, no receipt no exchange, despite me advising it was way I had picked it up from the rail, I was advised that the onus was on the customer to check the sizes themselves and how was she sure that I had actually paid for the top. I was furious at the insinuation that I had picked it up of the rail and walked to the counter asking for an exchange on something I had stolen, I asked if she had thought I had been shoplifting, she could call the police, I was advised to read the policy displayed on the window on a small sticker on the way out, with that the assistant who I now know to be the manager walked away. Today I visited another store with said t shirt and the receipt only to be advised that the time for exchange had ran out and should have been done within 14 days of purchase, I queried the information printed on the receipt re Christmas purchases and exchanges, I was dismissed rudely, with a "NEXT" ringing in my ears. I have bought items over the years and have never had any issues previously, I will never cross over the threshold regardless of whatever the bargain may appear to be. Your staff are rude and down right ignorant, in the light of supporting my local shops, this one I will happily walk past.

Went in Selby store today to change jumper for smaller size that I recieved as christmas present,was told no receipt no exchange and to top it off the manager Linda was just rude and very angry,my guess is I got the back lash of somebody else's complaint of the same ridiculous returns policy.I guess they expect people who get people clothes as a gift for christmas to also have the receipt in the wrapping,just crazy.Wouldn't let Linda run a market stall,following instructions or not rudeness uncalled for.

Peacocks has changed so much. For the worst. I think management need to take a look at everything, from their policies to the staffing in the shops as it’s quite possibly the worst high street shop now. I’ve just come out of the hoddesdon branch, needed to collect an order (ordered for the 1st time since their change of online returns policy) so didn’t know I had to fill something in online 1st before I could return. I can’t get online on my phone, I just have minutes but no data. I live 10 miles away from my nearest peacocks so it’s a 20 mile round trip for me. So now I’m home, my order isn’t wanted, I’ve filled out the online returns form, then have to go back sometime within 14 days to get a return, so that will then be 40 miles I’ve done just for 1 online order!! It’s ridiculous! PLUS the staff in the hoddesdon branch are really not that chirpy or helpful. Especially the manager! Last week I spent £122 in another peacocks whilst out xmas shopping for the day, I’ve made a decision to return the whole lot and never shop in peacocks again! Management get your act together!

Ordered for the 1st time online. Got a message to say order was ready. Picked up at my local store, very happy until I needed to make a return of 1 of my items. I misread that you needed to print off a return code before returning it back to the store. I wrote down the return number to be told in store I should have the bar code. After trying many times to retrieve this off my phone I have now given up. Come on Peacocks you are the only store that makes returning a nightmare. Will never place a order with them again.

Terrible customer service on the phone have been told by email that my items where dispatched from warehouse on a certain day where in fact they hadn't even been dispatched until a week later with no email ..Customer services couldn't help me on that beause they don't work in that department so still no items they are quick to take the money out but nothing to show for it

I collected a parcel from Streatham store. I had to return some items. When i got there the girl at till called for supervisor. Supervisor asked me if i had been online to get the authorisation code, I said no. I tried to do it on my phone but reception was really bad. I went outside and things wasn't working out. I went back into store and the supervisor reluctantly tried to help me, but she wasn't able to help me as she didn't know what she was doing. Absolutely useless. She said you need to call customer service to help you, by this time it was 5pm and customer service was closed for the weekend. If she didn't know what she was doing she should have suggested this in the first instance. She said oh sorry with a grin on her face. The clothes in this store look used and wishy washy like they have been used.

Absolutely horrendous shop. Like something out of the dark ages. No exchange or credit note without a receipt. My Mum who is partially sighted and 82 picked up the wrong size jumper, and was told she couldn't exchange it for another size.

Had the worst cashier at Peacocks in Walthamstow today. Instead of hi or a nod at least, I've received a load yawn with fully open mouth. She was all over the place talking nonsense and seemed like she was on drugs. Also, managed to tell me to go get another pair of shoes because the ones I've picked up didn't have the tag. I've asked to see a supervisor and if she was feeling okay but only got I know what I'm doing and a stare from her. Informed her colleague on my way out with ruined mood and the rest of the day. I've never had good experience in this store, but never THIS bad.

Went to peacocks in Folkestone at 5.00pm as on a work break the store was full but wasn’t allowed in nice girl at the door said she’s trying to get people out but I couldn’t wait to get inside as it’s closing down and I’ve always liked peacocks brought many items from there over the years and sorry to see it close but I wasn’t happy I couldn’t get in at 5.00pm when the website says it closes at 6.00pm if you’re closing early you should let people know

Would have given zero stars if possible. Did a click and collect order, received email stating ready to collect but it wasn't. Went in further four times to find still not ready. Month later get an email stating refund had been triggered (not by me) but the refund was LESS than what I'd paid. Couldn't get through on their complaints line so sent email with absolutely no response. Terrible customer service and company. Will be absolutely gleeful if they're the next store to go under, looking at these other reviews it would be well deserved.

Absolutely disgusted. This is the first time I have used this service and defiantly the last. I ordered items in the morning before the ‘3pm’ express delivery to have next day I also payed extra to have it delivered the following day. I had to email them phone customer service to be told they couldn’t get hold of the courier and that they would have to get back to me, then when they did they said that my order had not been collected and sent out and missed the collection day. I was relying on this order now will have to wait till after the weekend to receive my items. Absolutely disgraceful. To think people get payed to do this is utterly ridiculous.

Bradford store staff are disgraceful and have no customer service skills. One member of staff on duty putting clothes out whilst queue of customers waiting. Had to send my daughter to get her to serve customers even though she could clearly see the queue. When I wanted to return an Internet order I was told I would not get back what I paid for the items. I said surely they should be able to override the prices and put in what I paid and the manager came with an arrogant attitude and said it wasn't possible and that I should return online. I ordered from peacocks for the convenience of returning to store. It was Sunday and closing time and this manager became abrupt and told me to step aside so she could serve others rather then acknowledge what I was saying. She also refused to give me her name. The clothes are very ill-fitting and sizes are irregular and the employees are rude and so I will not be shopping at peacocks ever again. I have done a chargeback via my bank and thankfully have got my money back for the badly made garments I wished to return. I will be donating the clothes to charity as the quality and sizing is so bad I have no use for them.

I went into the Bridgend store ,was hot and “ struggling “with bags , but the 2 staff members seemed disinterested and were more concerned with tidying the clothes rails ...even though I was clearly needing assistance especially when trying to find shoes ...I couldn’t see any baskets and asked a male member of staff whose manner was unhelpful and disinterested..if they had any ..he said “ at the front “ but his manner was “ off hand and “ dismissive “I had to finally ask for his help in locating a garnent I wanted to buy but couldn’t find ..I spent over 40 pounds in this store but feel the staff need to be much more customer focused courteous and helpful .I felt as though I was an “ inconvenience “ not a customer even though I’ve spent a lot at peacocks ..please train your staff in being polite and professional with customers ....after all its “ us “ who pay their wages , very poor service indeed

I needed to return a top i hsd bought for my nans funeral that didnt fit and the male manager who served me was rude potentious and arrogant. Refused to refund me because he couldnt see my signiture on my bank card.

Bought a dress online for a wedding. 5 days after email arrived to say it has been shipped to collect instore. Two weeks later no emails to say it has arrived. Called in the shop who saiddress was scheduled to arrive in 2 days-didn't happen. Rang customer services who said to dress woukd probably arrive next day-didnt happen. Called in shop again as two days away from wedding-they rang customer services & was told it may be another 2 weeks! Cancelled order. Very disappointed as now got to find dress for wedding tomorrow! Very poor service-will not buy online with them again.

Customer service do not reply to emails. Expect a long wait for delivery although they advertise as 3-5 working days. I will reporting them to ASA

delivery went to an address over 100 miles away, no interest in resolving quickly,shoddy claim form with no space to explain what went wrong. customer service disinterested, stores are ok but their online service is just awful.
