I purchased a mans t shirt as a Christmas present on 30th November, i was advised by assistant that if not suitable to keep the receipt as the receipt covers purchases from 1st Nov to 6th January . When I got home I realised he size of the t.shirt was different to the hanger, it was on a larger sized hanger, I returned to the store 3 days later, the assistant was both rude and offensive, the receipt I had accidentally left at home, so immediately got the response, no receipt no exchange, despite me advising it was way I had picked it up from the rail, I was advised that the onus was on the customer to check the sizes themselves and how was she sure that I had actually paid for the top. I was furious at the insinuation that I had picked it up of the rail and walked to the counter asking for an exchange on something I had stolen, I asked if she had thought I had been shoplifting, she could call the police, I was advised to read the policy displayed on the window on a small sticker on the way out, with that the assistant who I now know to be the manager walked away. Today I visited another store with said t shirt and the receipt only to be advised that the time for exchange had ran out and should have been done within 14 days of purchase, I queried the information printed on the receipt re Christmas purchases and exchanges, I was dismissed rudely, with a "NEXT" ringing in my ears. I have bought items over the years and have never had any issues previously, I will never cross over the threshold regardless of whatever the bargain may appear to be. Your staff are rude and down right ignorant, in the light of supporting my local shops, this one I will happily walk past.

I will never shop with Peacocks again. I ordered online over Christmas and went into store to refund them. Found out there was no extended Christmas period and as I was 'not eligible' on my online account I have no exchange or refund option. I am now stuck with boots I don't like - despite them still being in store FULL PRICE. Called up customer services to complain and came across a bunch of rude, arrogant and offensive employees who lack customer service skills massively. Cowboys.

As many have already written... I have also been left with a tshirt no good to me...attempted to exchange for the same tshirt a size larger, item was available at the store but Peacocks not prepared to exchange as 2 days past the 14 day period. The tshirt is not in the sale, had a receipt, just wanted a tshirt correct size...left annoyed at this returns policy particularly over the xmas period. Will never use Peacocks again and urge everyone to be very careful if buying gifts that may need returning!!

BEWARE, PEACOCKS ONLINE STORE PURCHASES. Bought some items and needed to return them. Ts & Cs state return postage is at the cost of the customer, HOWEVER full refunds can be done in store. Took them to a store to be told, SORRY, CAN'T REFUND YOU AS YOU'VE PAID BY PAYPAL! Called customer services, USELESS! Had to pay £10 postage to get my refund. Even when I threatened to post negative reviews on social media. They couldn't care less! BY CONTRAST, also bought items from MATALAN. They were HAPPY to refund in store, EVEN THOUGH I'D PAID BY PAYPAL. They just refunded straight back on to my paypal account. PEACOCKS, WHAT A CON!

Ordered £115 worth of clothing from Peacocks on 19th December, tracking said it had arrived in UK and had been delivered, but haven't received my parcel!! I am really annoyed about this as alot money for.me!!! These couriers are a nightmare, I ordered items from another company they needed a signature, they said my partner signed it even though neither of us were home and even showed a photo of (fake) signature!!! Complete joke, won't be ordering anymore online, apart from Amazon which you can collect from post office.

I would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this. I placed and paid for an order online for various items and was assured I would receive a confirmation email. No email, so I contacted Peacocks and was told they had no record of my order or email address and it appeared I had been scammed. I checked my credit card payment and it had gone to gbfsite UK GBR. I went on Peacocks site and the site I ordered from is identical, same sale items, same prices so I had no reason to think it wasn't genuine. My credit card provider agree it's a scam. I emailed Peacocks about this but so far haven't had a response.

WARNING do not buy anything on line from peacocks online. Returning stuff for free is almost imposible depending on how you pay. Spose that suits the store. 4 times times I've tried to return to the shop been turned away 4 times

Disgusting customer service,store manager followed me around shop,very intimidating ,can’t even browse these days!!!!!,accusing me of shoplifting ,how dare she ,asked for cctv, an apology ,got nothing!!!! She is a vile person who doesn’t deserve a job!!!!

CUSTOMER CARE NOT ANSWERING EMAILS I HAVE BEEN FULLY CHARGED FOR TWO ITEMS NOT SUPPLIED HAD A LARGE ONLINE ORDER NEVER AGAIN. JUST LOOK AT TRUST PILOT REVIEWS YOU ARE NOT DOING THE BUSINESS ANY GOOD. TOTAL LACK OF ANY SERVICE. TERRIBLE

The absolute worst retail company ever! If I could give no stars I would! They don’t know the meaning of customer service! Purchased 2 items in Caerphilly store - no fitting room open so had to try on at home. They only have a 14 DAY return policy (most other stores are 30 days so BEWARE) so planned to take them back in that time frame. However then had to self-isolate for 10 days mid-way so returned items the day after I finished isolating. Foolishly thought, given extenuating circumstances, I would at least be offered a credit note but, no. My fault I had to self-isolate apparently so I’m now £25 out of pocket! I should have just gone back with the items - oh wait, that would have put the Peacocks staff at risk! Diabolical customer service, especially considering they came close to closing down. IN FUTURE I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

I am a disabled and unwell customer reliant on a family member. I ordered a few pieces on line for the coming summer months. Delivery was slow, T shirts were of noticeably poorer quality than others purchased elsewhere for less money. The one thing that was very nice was a wide brimmed sun hat but it was so large it literally swivelled on my head with any movement! I phoned Customer Services to discuss returning it as I discovered from their list that not all their stores had re-opened. My local store was not on the list. I wrongly assumed it would open at a slightly later date. The woman told me that all stores that were going to open had been opened and that others were closed permanently. In view of this I asked if it would be possible to send a return label from Hermes, their delivery carrier. She stated under Peacocks return policy that there were no free returns and apologised. She became much more agitated when I asked her to pass on that this information should have been made much clearer on the website. E.g. 'Please note that if your local store is not on our open list it is PERMANENTELY CLOSED'. If this had been made clear I would not have ordered at all. I explained that in order to avoid damage to the wide brimmed hat I needed to find a box to send it back on its own. It arrived via Hermes without a box but cushioned with other lightweight things in a large packet. Then pay Hermes or the Post Office which is dearer. OR get my daughter to do a 25 mile round trip for me to return it to the nearest store. I have no confidence that the woman will pass on my request to make things clearer on their website as her comment to me was 'Well, nobody else has complained'. Really! Maybe not about my specific problem but there are plenty of complaints. Don't waste your money with a company who couldn't care less.

Trying to return an online purchase which is impossible,keeps rejecting my mail address which is on their paperwork!! Shop would not take it back! Exasperated is not the word will not be buying online again from Peacocks!!

I finally managed to return my online shopping via Hermes, and I am extremely disappointed in the quality of their customer service and care.  I spent over £50 online, on clothes that were of poor quality and fitting. I tried to return my items to one of the branches but I couldn't complete the returns. This was because I did not physically have my bank card that I used to make the purchase online (I don't keep this card on me as I try not to spend on that account when I am out). Therefore I was told that I must send the items back via post - at my own expense.  At a time when we were in lockdown, with stores closed, you'd think they would want customers to be purchasing online to keep sales going - but making customers pay for their own returns during this time - seems absolutely absurd. Surely there has never been a more important time to ensure quality customer care.   I had to spend £6 to send all of the items back bar one item. Even the people at the Hermes shop couldn't understand the logic in this.  Not only that, but the returns process is unnecessarily complicated. Having to complete an online returns - which doesn't simply generate a QR code for Hermes - you have to then go and create a Hermes account and add in all of the details, that really should have just been taken care of - especially considering that I am the one paying for it all!! Even more frustratingly, the state of the paper - containing all of the information on regarding returns etcs - was a complete state. It doesn't look good, and certainly isn't very helpful.  Completely avoid. Let it fall further down - there are better shops out there that actually care and look after their customers.

Ordered a dress and skirt and top 3 weeks ago , they said they are waiting for hermes to reply....... no parcel, has arrived no refund given , I dont have A lot of money and rarely buy myself anything, very upset that I have lost this money . Awful awful company , they are ripping of so many people , while the country is going through this awful time, hope the CEO can hold his head up high and say he looked after his customers !!! Not

Hi I ordered a coat and dressing gown for xmas didn't receive my parcel peacocks blamed Hermes! Still no parcel and no refund and 7 emails later still not resolved a joke of a company never again!!

Refund policy is appalling. Despite no one being able to try anything on in the store and many people having to self isolate, their refund policy is rigid and designed to gain as much profit from covid as possible. Should you dare to try to return anything, the staff are incredibly rude about. I tried to complain to customer service who lied to me rather than deal with the issue. Will never be returning to any of Peacocks stores. You have lost yet another customer.

Due to not having enough stores open and the fact that with Covid everything is more difficult, I would expect to have received,the very least, an exchange or credit note for a pair of shoes that don't even fit! I am totally disappointed in your customer care and return policy of only 14 days! I will not be shopping at peacocks again and will be spreading the word of bad customer service.

Avoid at costs. Rude customer service. Just an exchange of the same products only different size instead of a refund was refused I am stack with over £60 worth of clothes that I can't use.
