“to young to help had to keep asking other members of staff could not help with my fault was here much less than a hour but charged one hour labour”

Dear Mr Clapson We are sorry to hear that our service was not of the level that you have received from us in the past. We can see from our records that you are a repeat customer who had a boiler installed by us 3 years ago, which we can also see has had no problems. With regards to your latest job, unfortunately, the noise you described coming from your pipework to our engineer was not present on our visit. Our engineer tried to force the noise to appear, although it did not present itself. You were kind enough to inform him that the noise only appears once a day first thing in the morning. We advised you verbally and in writing that if the noise became more frequent to call us so that we could reattend to locate and resolve it. Unfortunately, the minimum charge we have is 1 hour with subsequent hours being charged in 15-minute increments, so we applied the minimum charge. This charge is always taken into consideration should any further visits to a property be required, meaning that any further visits relating to the same problem would either be included in the cost of the first visit or charged at the 15 minute rate to keep costs to a minimum. The engineer we sent was over 30 years old and has been a plumber/gas engineer for over 13 years. Should the problem become more frequent please contact us so that we can arrange another visit. We can either send the same engineer or if you would prefer we can send any of our other engineers who all have over 10 years’ experience in the plumbing industry.
