“I have had 4 arranged visits in the past 6 months to change my meter. On 2 occasions the visits were cancelled late the day before, on one occasion nobody turned up and I was not informed and on the other occasion it was raining so hard it was deemed too dangerous for the work to be carried out. On the last occasion I was promised a new date but I have herd nothing.”
“Installation wasn’t completed , electric meter was asking lots of questions so I had to text the engineer who didn’t answer and so text him again the next day and he responded and then had to ring him so he could talk me through what answers to give to electric meter. After that it was fine”
“the fitters arrived and soon got to work. it seems that the previous job had overun due to being unable to register the meter as the whole system was down. after they had finished they still coudnt get on line and said they may have to re-install my old meter and come again in the future. after a long wait it finally was registered but was left to figure out how to read the meter and the indoor monitor.”
“The guy who fitted the smart meter had not fitted that type of smart meter before, and the colleague who he was supposed to be shadowing was ill.
The end result was that it took him the day to install it because he had to make phone calls to ask colleagues for advice.
My understanding was that this predicament he was in wasn't necessarily his personal fault, but due to the poor planning and organisation of the company he worked for.
He however did make a valiant attempt to complete the job and succeeded in the end.”
