As for annoyance, what disappointed me a lot was that we installed the old version, which took a long time to configure, pay for changes, fix the bugs, and then in the end it didn't work for me (read videos). And immediately came the new version. It also took a little while but each time you were responsive. I know that I asked for specific customizations but I think that will be useful for the future as well. I wasted a lot of time with my client who got angry because I announced a release and then I discovered a new problem (loading time, currency, etc. etc.).

“I've had a good experience with them and recommend them to anyone looking for a turnkey script.
They communicated with me about everything I wanted installed/customized for my script. They answered all my questions patiently via email and guided me through the process to bring my site to life.
You do need some patience in regards to them building your site but that's the same for most companies. They usually get the job done reasonably fast and if you noticed any discrepancies on your website, you can email them back about it or submit a trouble ticket to get it fixed. They even have direct skype accounts you can message them on if you have any questions.
Keep in mind every website you have built with anyone is going to have minor issues that'll need to be fixed that no not even the developers noticed themselves. But if you keep calm and work with the adent team about it, they usually help fix them without cost.
They offer a variety of great scripts to choose from that'll be fine to work off alone. But I recommend adding a few customizations to any script you purchase just to make it look a little different from the original script.
I'm not sure what the other reviewers are referring to, but they don't just bring up unexpected prices to you and usually let you know beforehand what any customization costs will be. They usually calculate it via manhours and let you know if you'd like to proceed on with it.
Overall, I recommend them as a good alternative for looking for a turnscript site. They offer a lot of great tips through their emails too in regards of how to make a successful site or how to get started. I think the key is just communication and understanding from both sides point of views. Just keep in mind you'll most likely need to host your site on the M3 server and you'll have to get payments through CCbilling.”

Also a note on the server people. These scripts are extremely complicated! I actually tried to have xfans installed with 2 other hosting companies and they could NOT do it. The Mongoose DB alone through them for a loop. So M3 gets the job done and have been extremely helpful too.”

“I was really impressed at first when I found the presentation for xCams and read the description of the product on Adent.io's website, but as I know from experience sometimes things differ from the adds, not in xCams case. The solution is written using clean code, SOLID principles, up to date front end technologies, easy to add more features and customize the API and interface. “The team at Adent is top notch. My company has been working with them since 2016, and five years later, after hundreds of emails and upgrades, updates, and customizations, we have nothing but praises for this company.
Initially, we were looking at 5 different companies/platforms to use to launch our first website with a paywall. We contacted the top 5 companies we found, and began talking with all of them to see who was going to be the best fit for us. What separated Adent from everyone else was the attention to detail, prompt responses from Steve, and it felt like no matter what time we reached out we would get an answer immediately from Steve or Nathan. Every concern was promptly addressed and all questions answered. What was also very promising was that their team did not push us to use any particular auxiliary services such as hosting or payment processing. They would happily make recommendations which helped with our research, but were always happy to utilize whatever we chose. That was comforting. After a few weeks of doing our research and talking with different companies, it was very clear that Adent was the way to go.
The next steps of designing, developing, and deploying our website were a breeze. After reading all of the reviews here on trust pilot, I have noticed that the people leaving bad reviews seem to have no clue about website development, or deployment. They seem to expect upgrades and customizations for free. Someone went on a long rant saying they did not get what they paid for.... It is clear to me that these people did not lay out clear directions for the Adent team. We have experience with standard HTML websites but were new to JSON. We provided Adent with a clear prototype of what we wanted each page to look like, and how each element was supposed to function. After we sent that in, we received a detailed estimate for the project broken down in sections, and once we agreed on everything their team executed everything within a timely manner. We were thrilled with the deployment of the website, and after testing all functions we were confident to now deploy several other sites with out customized platform from Adent.
We have launched many sites using the Adent software, and the team was always responsive and quick to resolve any issues. Whenever we had a problem with our websites, the Adent team was quick to resolve any issues quickly. We have worked on countless projects with the Adent team and have full confidence in them.
Advice to anyone considering using Adent:
1 - You need to research hosting, and understand that process to a reasonable degree first. Know that most hosting providers will not host websites of this nature, so your options are limited. I recommend Whois, been using them for over 12 years.
2 - Decide if you are using their software as is, or if you want to make customizations. If you decide to make customizations, you are better served if you make diagrams/graphics to clearly explain exactly what you want and how you want it to function. Avoid adding additional customizations after you present the customizations initially as it will complicate the process and lead to cost overruns which I see people complaining about here, because they were not precise and detailed at the beginning in terms of what they wanted.
3 - You need to be patient. Understand these guys are expanding and growing to serve more customers a time goes by. Their workload increases over time, and you need to be understanding that there is a que for requests. Be patient, they will resolve your issues in a reasonable time. Asking them every hour for updates is only going to hinder their ability to get to your requests quickly.
4 - If you are clueless about web hosting, development, deployment, don't blame delays on Adent. Your ignorance to how the particulars of how these things work is not an excuse to take it out on Adent. There are things that are out of their control, they only make the web software, they do not control your payment processor, nor do they control your hosting service. When problems arise outside of your software, and you have to rely on Adent to communicate with the payment processor or host, they are at the mercy of how quickly they get responses from these entities. Sometimes to get hosting issues resolved can take long, no matter what company you use for hosting. As someone who understands the workflow process for everything involved here, I can say with confidence that you will not find a better team to assist you with deploying your websites than Adent.
Summary - Steve and Nathan are amazing to work with, their support team are excellent at what they do and will deliver on any promises made as long as you do your part. Customizations cost money, be prepared to pay or just live with the stock software. I love these guys.”
