“I was excited to order what was described as a study in which I would have a chance to .... "read through and explore the entirety of the Bible ....". I don't think I was, based on that description, mistaken in my belief that this book was actually going to walk me through the whole Bible. Unfortunately, it does not. Instead, it goes through passages from each book in the Bible. That said, I plan on keeping and using the study. It is beautifully put together and the devotions and reflection questions seem thoughtfully put together.”
“Disappointed. I was expecting a spiral bound notebook as advertised. Instead I got a standard paperback binding. Otherwise, at first glance, it may be a good study resource.”
“I am somewhat disappointed with this study, especially considering the cost. I love that this is spiral and there is ample room on each page for writing notes/reflections. The pictures at the end of the lesson are nice and the content is good. However, there are several bible stories and references used throughout the study with no scriptural reference as to where they are in the the bible. Study of the Word should always be supported by the Word so that the student/reader has faith in the God of the bible, the inspired word of God, not the author of the study. I actually purchased this with the intent to use it for our study group, but will not be able to due to the lack of information.”
“Let’s start with the positives. It’s pretty. Special bound. Easy to pack in a bag.
Negatives: I was expecting a deeper study. I thought there would be more questions. I expected daily reflections from the reading. Sadly I would not buy again.”
“I like the overview of each topic for each section but I thought there would have been a little more than there is in the Year in the Bible book study.”
“I purchased The Bible in a Year recently. While I like the synopsis and overview of the theme of the week, I would have liked some daily devotions or something else daily to go along with the scripture we are reading for the day.”
“The book is lovely. I will begin reading it the first of January. I will be pleased to give a review once I’ve begun it.
Merry Christmas
In faith,
Margo”
