“I'm not impressed. This book is lovely to look at but it doesn't teach me anything. From the ad I understood it would explain what the Bible was saying.”
“I bought the Read the Bible in a year for Women book. The paper used for the pages is subpar. But more importantly, the content felt A. I. written - it was full of fluff and went around in circles. Finally, there was only a study description written for Day 1 of each of the 52 weeks. For the other six days, you're on your own. It felt like the book was the start of something good, but was left unfinished. The artwork was beautiful, and I really liked the spiral binding.”
“Love your products, however on my last order, I clicked pay, my total was $92 something, but the next day when I saw email of receipt, it was $118 something - somehow after I paid - a $25 item that I never even looked at or had interest in was added to my receipt. I tried to call and cancel item but was told I could not and I could just return it. Frustrating, I am busy and I hate returning things. I have not tried returning, hopefully it will be a free return.”
“EDIT: customer service asked me to CHANGE my review solely because I returned it. That is so sketchy. The review is still how I feel and I will not be giving a better one just because I got a refund on this bad product.
The book is visually pretty and that’s about it. There are no instructions on the confusing structure of the reading and there is no guidance for the different passages and how they relate to the first day’s reading. It’s very lackluster and feels empty inside. I sat for 10+ minutes trying to figure out the format and still didn’t get anywhere so I returned this. I’d be better off following a free guided reading online.”
“The book is smaller than o expected. The pages are pretty but it just wasn’t what I was expecting. Also, I ended up getting charged for highlighters that I did not want.”
“Beautiful book. This was a purchase to help me with getting close to purchasing a bible. I expected it to be columns but instead its just a paragraph on each page. I was confused as ive never had a bible before. I seem more lost as it doesnt explain what anything is on the page. was this just a reference to all the different bibles? Please help. Thank you”
“Was highly disappointed as online the products appear deceivingly to be full size products. For how much I paid I expected them to all be full size. However, what I received was a tiny mini book and tiny pens.”
“The products that Alabaster sell is really good, but I was very disappointed with the cost and size of the books I purchased. I do not recommend purchasing any of their mini books, because they are pocket size and the print is too small.”
“The product I ordered was not what I thought it would be. I have emailed and contacted them for a return according to instructions and have not received a response. I am disappointed in the customer service.”
“I was on vacation and my Bible study bundle arrived. We had a lot of rain. The Bible study was not completely wrapped in plastic and all of the pages warped.”
“As a new reader of the Bible I bought this study guide to help me understand what I am reading. But I find it confusing, I'm in the first week which highlights Genesis 1-3 with reflection questions after, the rest of the week jumps all over the place seemingly not connected to the lesson of Genesis. Skimming ahead it's the same all the way through. I feel misled by the advertisement of this study guide. Although I will say it's beautifully illustrated.”
“I was disappointed with my purchase. I may have misunderstood. I thought I purchased a bible to read. I didn’t realize that I need my own bible to complete the exercises.”
“The first thing is that I ordered the spiral bound version and I did not get that version. I got the book that was blinded when I got into the book. I was hoping there would be a little bit more information on each one of the weeks readings, the information was directed at the first reading of the week. I just wish this book went a little bit deeper. I will follow the one year plan though.”
