“The Ari nappy bag is literally the worst nappy bag. For $500 it’s so floppy and loses its shape so easily, not big enough to fit much. Save your money and buy something more user friendly.”
“I love the Dumpling handbag! It's so versatile, and deceivingly large. It fits all my essentials (even my water bottle) and it's great from everywhere to school drop off to a dinner date. I prefer the shoulder bag style but do have a carabiner to add a little luxe to my outfit on special occasions.”
“We purchased Luxe Signature Ari backpack as a gift for my daughter costing around $500. The metal zip failed when the bag was about a year old and by the time it was reported to Alf the label it was just over a year old. They refused to repair the zip at their expense however offered $50 towards a repair that we organised. We had to take it to a local boot maker who replaced the zip with a plastic zip. While functional it doesn’t look as nice as original. After several emails Alf the label did reimburse $50 with proof of the cost of repair which was more than $50. Very disappointed in spending $500 to have it fail on such a short time without a lot of use and what I consider poor backup service from which is clearly a manufacturing fault. I do appreciate it was past their specified warranty period so I guess I should be thankful for $50.
Also they are very poor at replying to emails and require several emails to get responses out of them. If you are considering a purchase have a look at google maps of their “office” at 2/78 Hight street Fremantle. While they refer to their Team I suspect you’re actually dealing with a part time backyard business with little support.

“I purchased a $500 bag just over two years ago. Recently one of the clasps broke and I took it to a repair shop who told me they weren’t able to fix it because it is plastic.
I contacted Alf saying that I loved the handbag which was otherwise in great condition and appreciated that it was no longer under warranty but would love it if they could repair it or send a replacement part at my expense because it was in otherwise such great shape.
Three emails over a month have received no response. For a company which sells very expensive bags - made with plastic parts - and provides itself on its sustainability and quality credentials, this is seriously pathetic.”

“I purchased the Ari backpack a few months before my son was born. 9 months into using it on a few occasions the zip had broken and stitching became undone.
I contacted support and was told that my bag was out of warranty, which i understood but the bag had only been used for 9 months. I asked to have spare zips/parts to be sent, i was told spare parts were not available. I sent my bag to a bag repairer who told me the bag is cheaply made with cheap zips. Alf did offer to put $50 towards the $100 repair which is something i guess.
On further inspection i found the exact bag on alibaba, then came to realise that my $529 bag was infact "drop shipped" as such from china probably costing a total of $40 to produce.
I purchased this bag hoping to use it for 2-3 babies and a few years because i believed it was good quality. Hope this review helps.”

“I bought the original version of the Stella tote. I loved the look online but the bag was such a disappointment in person. The bag has cheap interior structure. It feels like they used a thin cardboard for the base and a construction paper quality structure for the interior. Pockets don't line up with the seams and the bag flops over unless it's fully stuffed.
It feels like a prototype more than a bag that should have made it to market. Love the look but so bummed with the cheap materials and amateur structural design.”

“Disappointing Quality and Poor Customer Service
Our experience with Alf the Label has been nothing short of frustrating. My wife recently purchased a Luca backpack to serve as a baby bag, only to discover it was broken upon going to the hospital for the birth of our baby.
Despite reaching out to Alf the Label, their solution was far from convenient. They offered to replace the bag, but we were expected to box it up at our own cost and send it back using a prepaid label.
As parents of a newborn, the impracticality of this solution cannot be overstated. We rely on the bag to carry essential items such as nappies, and being without it for at least two weeks while the replacement process unfolds is simply not feasible. Moreover, the inconvenience of having to visit the post office adds unnecessary stress, particularly when we proposed a much more reasonable alternative. We suggested they send us a new, non-faulty bag first, allowing us to return the defective one in the packaging provided. This would have been a fair solution given the bag's manufacturing defect.
To add to the frustration, my wife is dealing with the emotional rollercoaster that comes with postpartum hormones. The faulty bag and the lack of accommodation from Alf the Label have caused significant distress. The bag was not inexpensive, and the subpar quality control is evident.
In summary, our experience with Alf the Label has been highly disappointing. The bag, which is cheaply made in CHINA, has failed in both quality and durability.
The customer service response has been equally lacking, adding to our stress during an already challenging time. I would strongly advise against purchasing from this company. Save yourself the headache and opt for a more reliable brand.”
