Rip off add company. Placed my car on autotrader.co.uk week later they removed my add stating some of their policy breaches. 100 pound gone to drain!!!

I bought a car from ROBERTS MOTORS LTD which is under Auto trader and the car stopped within few hours of driving and since then av spent £1-2000 on the car. Now the wet belt is off and will cost me another £2k to repair. The seller refused to refund my money after 3days of buying it and av been struggling to deal with this…. I’m so disappointed ☹️ and don’t know what to do

❗️❗️❗️I brought a faulty car from a dealer on auto trader based on their reviews for this dealer, now the dealer refuses to solve the problems, I tried to review my experience about this dealer but was impossible, autotrader hasn’t posted my reviews, I ask for o copy of that car advert but they didn’t send nothing, conclusion is AUTOTRADER is scammer’s friend, they protect scammers, now I’m in court about this issue but AUTOTRADER don’t act 🔴🔴🔴

Bought from a private seller who withheld information that the car had been bought from a salvage auction and was CAT U. When I then went to sell it on this was uncovered by history checks and meant that my car was worth 25% of the figure I paid for it. Autotrader do not do checks for CAT U and will not ban the private seller, only 'monitor'. The seller will not pay the difference and my only option now is to move on or go to court. Do not buy from a private seller on this site.

wish i had seen the reviews when i brought my car but a very expensive lesson learnt!! Cars description was wrong which should of been a red flag but due to desperation and everything else on offer in other sales places seeming over budget or not suitable i went with this one, in 9 months this car has cost me over 2k and is currently a death trap within a week the back windows and heating stopped, then speaker went, since then numerous other bits have gone wrong. Took out extended warranty which was complete waste of time was given no paper work for it sales people ( if you can call them that) didnt want to know just told me to call and the warranty company will find the info which of course at the point my car was basically undriveable they expected me to get the car taken to the a garage over 16miles away at my cost as no other garage closer will deal with them as a company. If you want a decent car stay well clear over 5k and basically left with a useless pile of metal that continuously needs work!!!

11FG limited is an awful car sales place. I bought a car in January and paid to have an extra key for £200 and the key broke after a few months. It doesn’t work. They also refuse to fix it or acknowledge and put phone down. The car I bought for £6000 was also faulty and is now costing lots to fix it. Do not trust 11FG Limited. Disgusting people and they will go bankrupt soon anyway.

I brought a car from your website and it turned out to be stolen and you are not willing to take any responsibly even though the advertised that you had done checks on the car which was taken off me because you did not do the checks as advertised.

Completely Rip off the retailers with absolutely absurd costs and our Area manager is useless and never replies unless he can get more money out of you Over 2500k a month for 12 adverts is a joke.

You CAN get scammed from buying from auto trader and they won’t do anything other then ‘log a complaint.’ MOT’s are false. HPI checks are false. This is the second time we’ve inquired about a car that when we have taken it to a MOT centre it has cropped up 12-13 faults. LUCKILY with the second car we were smart enough to enquire and send it to a MOT centre first (as opposed to just trusting the sellers fake invoice.) however..even when you have evidence of a seller being dodgy or that they have refused to refund you the money they won’t do anything about it. 1 star since they did reply to the email super fast, even if they did state that because all they do is advertise if anything happens it’s not on them to do anything. Which frankly I think is very misleading for people that buy from auto trader and TRUST the sellers because a dealership is “in partnership” with them. I have evidence of everything I am speaking about. Including the last 2 dealers/sellers and the response auto trader gave us. I would avoid tbh.

Do not use this website, claim to care about their customers but do nothing to ban dodgy dealers from exploiting their platform, we got sold a lemon of a car that almost killed us and Autotrader do not care and actually seem to support these dodgy dealers as money is more important than safety. We bought a used Corsa from a garage that hid it being cat S, they used images of before the accident for the advert and would only bring it at night time, car in dark looked alright but in day time it was obvious this had been botched up for sale with a fake MOT, but took it on a first drive after buying as the car was for my sister who recently passed and the gearbox packed up 5 min into driving it down street, garage came to take it back and fix it but clearly didn't, got it back and she went to work in it on a night shift and on way home in pitch black on a dual carriageway the car did it again causing the car to grind to a stop at 60mph and the gearbox is completely wrecked, hazards didn't even work along with many other things, she wouldn't even sit in the car again and was in tears and this has put her off driving! This garage posts fake reviews (Walkey lane car sales now known as KM Carz) with the full support of Autotrader! sent a 2,000 word email to autotrader who have done absolutely nothing! even showed them adverts where this garage was selling cars with no MOT and had failed on over 20 different things! they let them keep the ads up! allowed this garage to continue operating and even change name like thanks autotrader dont push yourselves too hard aye. No wonder garages can operate this way when they can use sale sites who don't care as long as they make money, my sister almost died from a unsafe vehicle with tons of faults and fake MOT and neither the garage or autotrader care. Wish i was rich as i'd sue them both out of existence! so beware if you do buy a vehicle through autotrader you're on your own, they'll just tell you to email trading standards and use the consumer act 2015 which aint worth the paper its written on and before people say its not Autotraders fault you bought a bad car your right it isn't, but if dodgy garages were actually blocked from selling maybe people wouldn't buy them in the first place? they have a duty of care to keep customers safe which they do not, Autotrader is so easy to exploit all i need is a few bangers and some mates to post fake reviews and i'll be swimming in sales and if anyone reports me then my good money pals Autotrader will ignore and do nothing so im fine!

11FG LIMITED , One of the worst buys in my life. Bought a Merc with low mileage for almost 3 grand. All looked fine , beside some exterior small issues. 2 and half months later , still no V5C in my name , still need to fix issues on the car like wishbones , and probably dodgy automatic gearbox , and the warranty company Auto Select doesn`t give .... for the issues. I did pay for the warranty included in the price. Unprofessional , they are not taking care of the customers , unpolite , they are not checking the cars for issues , they sell warranties that themselves are unpolite and unprofessional. It leaves me with a vehicle that I need to pay another 1000 minimum to put in order , and that is if the gearbox doesn`t present to be diying. So avoid places like that , pay more if you have to but do not go for cars that seem to be a bargain in a small car selling place like that.

It seems some traders you advertise are very dodgy. Had awful experience with 11FG Limited. Very stressful experience. This trader is dishonest in every way and 2 months later they still have the car and the £5000 I paid for it! I don't seem to be getting anywhere with them. Also dodgy contracts. Be sure to thoroughly check before and after signing.

Numerous dealers advertising dacia sandero stepways as in stock and available now. These are not in stock and not available till Nov or Dec 2021. Due to demand and lack of chips. Yet they are still allowed to advertise this car when you can't buy one. Three dealers tried to bait and switch me into an older model or the duster which isn't automatic crazy yet auto trader to nothing I reported the ads but they are still there.
