Booked Bamba for my South America backpacking trip and I can honestly say I wouldn’t have been able to do it all alone. They helped me get from one country to the next, set me up with amazing local guides, and even helped me find vegetarian food options when I needed it. The flexibility was ideal, and I still got to make my own decisions. It was like having a safety net while still being free. That balance made all the difference.

I joined the Uyuni Salt Flats tour with Bamba as a solo backpacker and had an amazing time. The landscapes were absolutely unreal—like something from another planet. The tour group was small and friendly, and our guide made sure we had plenty of time at each stop for photos. The accommodations were basic but clean, and the food was better than expected. One of the highlights of my South America trip for sure!

Our guide in Bolivia, Diego, was a storyteller. He didn’t just lead us around; he painted pictures of history, culture, and tradition. We visited a tiny community where a local elder showed us how to weave using traditional patterns. It wasn’t part of the standard itinerary—it just happened because Diego had built that relationship. That moment, more than any photo-op, stuck with me. Bamba gives you those unexpected, beautiful moments.

I was skeptical about booking a big trip online but Bamba turned out to be exactly what I needed. They gave me the freedom to choose what I wanted to do, with the security of knowing everything behind the scenes was taken care of. In Colombia, I joined a group hike to the Lost City and it was one of the hardest yet most rewarding experiences of my life. The guides were tough but supportive, and the scenery was unreal. I wouldn’t have been able to plan this myself. Grateful for their help.

Bamba’s WhatsApp support was one of the best parts for me. I had questions at odd hours and always got a quick, friendly response. Whether it was about pickup times or meal options, they were always available. It made me feel safe and supported in places where I didn’t speak the language. My jungle tour in Tambopata was absolutely wild—in the best way. So many animals, and even a night walk where we saw tarantulas (not for the faint of heart!). Loved every second.

We joined a small group tour with Bamba for the Inca Jungle Trek and had such a blast! The combination of biking, rafting, hiking, and ziplining was such a thrill. Our guide was young and full of energy, and he made the whole group feel like friends. The accommodations were basic but comfortable, and the meals were filling and delicious. This wasn’t just sightseeing—it was full-on adventure, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

I was really nervous about doing the Inca Trail, especially as someone who’s not super fit, but Bamba made it such a positive experience. Our guide was encouraging and always checked on us, and the pace was manageable. I never felt left behind. The views were insane, like walking through history and nature at the same time. One night it rained and our tents were already set up when we arrived—warm food waiting for us too. The small things made a big difference. It wasn’t just a hike; it was a journey.

As a couple in our 50s, we were a bit hesitant about joining a travel group with younger travelers, but Bamba’s setup gave us privacy and flexibility. We loved the Sacred Valley tour—our guide was so passionate and explained everything in a way that felt personal. When my husband needed a slower pace, no one rushed us. It was respectful and inclusive. The accommodations were modest but always clean and well-located. It felt like traveling with ease.

Bamba gave us a completely stress-free and exciting way to explore Costa Rica. From the cloud forests of Monteverde to the volcano views in Arenal, everything was perfectly organized. One of the highlights was when our guide took us on a surprise detour to a local coffee farm—not part of the tour, just something he knew we’d love. It’s that kind of personal touch that made this trip special. We never felt like tourists being herded around. Every transfer was smooth, accommodations were cozy, and support was always available when we had questions. Felt like we got to truly experience the country.

We took our kids (12 and 14) on a Bamba trip through Guatemala, and it ended up being one of our favorite family holidays. The guides were really good at engaging both us and the kids—telling fun facts, asking them questions, and being super patient. The boat ride on Lake Atitlán and our visit to the indigenous villages were highlights. It wasn’t your typical tourist trip. It felt immersive. Even the transport days were well-planned with breaks at interesting places. Bamba really helped us make the most of our time without feeling rushed.

I booked Bamba for my gap year trip across Southeast Asia and it was probably the smartest thing I did. I’m not great with logistics and they made everything so easy. When I got to Vietnam, they picked me up right on time and gave me a welcome briefing. I joined a cooking class in Hoi An where I met another solo traveler, and we ended up continuing our journey together. The mix of guided tours and free time was perfect. I felt like I could be spontaneous but still had structure. Big thanks to Bamba for being so organized and chill.

We added on an Amazon jungle tour through Bamba after our trek and I’m so glad we did. We stayed in a lodge near Puerto Maldonado, completely surrounded by nature. Woke up to howler monkeys and fell asleep to frog songs. Our guide, Mario, showed us medicinal plants and we even fished for piranhas. It was something so different from the mountains and added a whole new dimension to our Peru trip. Felt like two trips in one. Bamba handled all the transitions so smoothly, we barely had to worry about anything.

My solo backpacking trip through Peru and Bolivia felt overwhelming to plan, so I went with Bamba. Best choice ever. They handled all the connections, hostels, and excursions, and gave me room to go with the flow too. One night in La Paz, I got food poisoning and had to skip my scheduled tour. I contacted their team and they helped me reschedule it for another day without charging extra. That kind of support made me feel safe even traveling alone. The salt flats tour in Uyuni was just magical—our driver took the best photos and even played Bolivian music while we drove. Such good vibes.

Our 4-day Inca Trail trek with Bamba was one of the most incredible things we’ve ever done. From the moment we met our guide, Luis, we felt like we were in good hands. He shared stories about the land, the Inca culture, and even local legends that made every step more meaningful. The porters were unbelievable—carrying so much weight and still smiling, and the meals the chef prepared in the middle of nowhere were beyond what we expected. It was challenging, but the support we received made it feel doable. We made friends, laughed a lot, and that first view of Machu Picchu at sunrise? Nothing can beat it. Thank you, Bamba, for making this bucket list dream come true.

Our trek with Bamba in Peru was an unforgettable experience, and Francisco, our guide, made it truly exceptional. His deep knowledge of the area enriched every step of the journey, and he had an innate sense of when to take breaks, ensuring we were comfortable throughout. The porters and chef were outstanding, consistently providing delicious meals and top-notch service. The breathtaking scenery and the peaceful, uncrowded trail made the trek even more enjoyable. In addition to the trek, we also ventured into the Amazon, exploring Puerto Maldonado. The jungle experience was a definite highlight of our trip, adding a whole new dimension to our adventure. We highly recommend this experience with Bamba—it exceeded all our expectations!

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a small group tour through Yucatán with Bamba Travel, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The level of organization was impeccable, making the entire journey smooth and stress-free. Our guide Cesar was truly exceptional. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of the region, but he also had a knack for making every story engaging and memorable. His passion for the area was contagious, and he went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the group had a great time. The itinerary was perfectly curated, offering a wonderful mix of must-see landmarks and hidden gems. From exploring ancient Mayan ruins to swimming in crystal-clear cenotes, every experience was more exciting than the last. The small group size of 8 made it feel like a personalized adventure rather than a typical tour, allowing us to connect more deeply with the places we visited. What stood out the most was the seamless blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation. Each day was filled with new discoveries and unforgettable moments, yet the pace was relaxed enough to fully enjoy and absorb each experience. Bamba Travel truly exceeded my expectations, providing a travel experience that was both enriching and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a well-organized, immersive, and fun way to explore Yucatán, I highly recommend booking a tour with them. I can’t wait for my next adventure with Bamba Travel!

The worst travel experience in my life!! Do not book with Bamba. They are completely disorganised, unhelpful and a total rip off! I had to hound them for my itinerary 7 days before i was to leave for Japan. They changed all of my accommodation 2 days after i was already in japan, with NO notification. They changed pick up points with NO notification, so i missed tours. There was no airport transfer as stipulated in the itinerary. They argued with me about semantics every time i contacted them. I have no idea what i payed thousands of dollars to them for

What went right is a better question. I received and printed a voucher which had no information different from what I'd read already. There was no local contact information. I was picked up from the airport in Bali and expected to be joining a tour. I realized that we'd be left on our own a lot, but I was completely alone the whole time. I had no idea! I sent a message about meeting the contact person and others on the tour. I also asked about a detailed itinerary. I had no idea when I'd be picked up, no hotel names or addresses so I couldn't arrange activities in advance. When I sent a message, the response I got was that there's be no one from Bamba Experience meeting me. I booked this to meet new people who love travel like I do. Bamba response was that I can meet people anytime I want to. I thought that was very rude under the circumstances. I was told to refer to my voucher which was sent to my e-mail on Dec 4. I felt like I was being reprimanded. I reread every word on my voucher which I received in my e-mail Dec 4. Still no information. The driver who picked me up from the airport asked me for the address of the hotel. I didn't have the name of the hotel let alone an address. Immediately after I checked into the hotel in Kuta after 5 pm, I received a phone call saying that the white water rafting tour scheduled for the next morning had been cancelled and in order for me to join another rafting group, I'd have to pay 250, 000 rupiah more because im traveling alone. When I did the cycling tour, I was asked for my voucher. I gave the voucher I was sent in my e-mail. They wanted a cycling voucher which I never received. I have done so many tours on my own, but I've never had such a disappointing experience as this. Its Christmas and I'll be in my own. I know I can meet people anytime I want and I wanted to as part of this tour. For what I got, I didn't need to book this. I could have hired a driver and just planned a solo holiday. No need for this to even be an option on tour radar. I would never use Bamba Experience again.
