Try googling Sabadell Bank reviews and look for Trustpilot. Over 1,400 reviews there. Does it give a different impression? Nope. Still 92% at 1 star! Truly the worst bank in the world.

Worst customer service ever! They have confirmed that they have blocked an automatic transfer. This was not done correctly so the transfer was still done. Then I had to call again to cancel it, they have told me that only the office that I have opened the account can do it and they have sent an email to them URGENTLY to recover the transfer back (even if I had to pay for the service 25 euros .. for their mistake) and to not worried because in 24h tops this money will be back on my account. Of course, the 2nd time nothing was done. I have called this morning and they told me they will call me back immediately once they have this reviewed. No one called back of course. I called again (4th person) where I had to repeat myself the 1000 time about the same issue, not only he did not help, he requested a refund to the person (THIS was not requested and not wanted) so I told him to cancel this request because this is not what I wanted and he hung up on me. I called again and an additional person replied telling me that they will speak with the other operator, but they cannot confirm the cancellation for this request as I have to call back. So this is my 4th time on the phone just today, plus yesterday's call all due to NO ONE DOING THEIR JOB PROPERLY. The worst part is that Raquel (the operator from yesterday) told me that we are all human and we all do mistakes.. This is her reaction to the fact that the things were not done properly. Anyways, here I am still on the phone trying to get my money back still. The recordings of these calls needs to be listen for the management to see which is the reality of their operators: disrespectful, incompetent and liars.

The worst bank there is! I ve made a business account with them, they told me my account will be fully functional that day, the next day they blocked my account and start asking for photos of my office and all kind of weird stuff. My business is legit, i work with the biggest real estate developers in Spain, the situation is like this for 2 weeks now. Basically Sabadell bank blocked my business. So, i will never recommend or work with this bank! Stay away from them!!!!

1. Agents refuse to listen and only read first line of emails 2. Agents close cases without investigation 3. No procedure available to challenge decisions. Told on the phone by an agent, you cannot appeal our decisions or make a complaint here. 4. Total chaos in terms of internal organisation (I think it is on purpose to make you give up) 5. For an insurance claim, their ‘professional’ came to the house, looked through a grill with a phone torch and made a ‘professional’, unchallengeable decision 6. Took them 1 year to provide us with a credit card. Still waiting for 2nd credit card despite being sent around Barcelona to pick up a non-existant credit card by the International Hub service 7. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Awful bank. Have a bank account and insurance which I’ve been trying to cancel for a year. I call insurance they tell me to call the bank, I call bank they tell me to contact insurance - no one will help me and they keep taking money out of my account which I can’t afford. Awful

I bought a new phone and all my passwords were gone - logical! However, there was no way to request or change the password for my Sabadell account, and I have not been able to access it (from Canada) ever since. I've been on emails, phone, messenger with the Bank for months now. They are useless and I'll look into transferring my business elsewhere

Incompetent, rude staff, in branch and on the phone. Constantly given different explanations to the same questions. They eventually did refund quite a lot of money, as I pointed out that they had never informed me of new charges. However, they still owe money. When I left, I gave them my new account details, as I was expecting a refund onto my card whilst I was still using the Sabadell account. They still have not transferred the money and denied I'd provided my new account details I forwarded the email as proof and they now refuse to reply! I have friends who have had similar/worse experiences, huge quarterly charges without notice, useless insurance policies etc. Avoid like the plague!

I'd like to add my voice to the legions of dissatisfied customers and warn everyone I can to steer well clear of this travesty of a bank. I can't understand how they can remain in business, but they act more like a crime syndicate than a bank. They have literally extorted money out of me over the last days while I have tried in vain to cancel my account with them. We left Spain in February and I informed them by phone and email to cancel my life insurance policy. We left the account open as we had previously discussed at the branch in person as we were expecting a tax return. We were told we could operate our finances easily via the app outside Spain. This has not been the case. We have moved to Japan on 5th February, and have been busy settling into our new home, so have not been able to check every minute to see what they are doing. They never sent us ANY notifications of money taken. When I checked our account some time later they had taken money for the policy I cancelled. I rang to complain and they denied that I cancelled it, even though I have the proof. We decided to use our new account here to receive the tax return and to end all contact with them. We know we had to have zero balance to cancel, so I started to move money out and buy a few items as my card was still active. When I went to close the account this week they had taken 60eu in fees without any warning and put us in deficit. We then tried to pay the 58.10 eu so as to close it and they charged us another 28.00eu for being overdrawn. I've lived in 10 different countries around the world and never come across such crooked bankers as in Spain. IT'S OUR ACCOUNT, YOU ARE THERE TO PROTECT AND SERVICE YOUR CUSTOMERS, NOT ROB THEM!! You are pathetic!

I have been a client for +12 years. My account is not accessible since February. I live in Belgium, so I can not go to an office for some time (tried to, but their local office is closed forever). I have filled in about 20 online forms, mailed them about 10 times, called them.. whatever.. My account is still unreachable. I have no idea what my balance is at this moment (different amount of payment are withdrawn each month). It is a complete stressful event at the moment, because all of my Spanish bills or automatically withdrawn from this account. Mortgage, taxes.. It is simply impossible to get any information about my own account at the moment. And they are incapable of resolving this in 3 months. It's a disgrace, especially since the monthly bankfees are enormous!

No es posible ponerse en contacto. Llevo 2 meses intentando solicitar una nueva contraseña, pero no funciona. Correos electrónicos, mensaje por WhatsApp, formulario en línea... No obtengo respuesta

They will charge you for receiving SEPA transfers in total breach of Regulation (EC) No 924/200 (ECB regulation on banking charges within the SEPA region) . Hopefully soon or later these businesses form the 19th century will die out for not adapting to an evolving world.

Useless, if you get into problems they block your account so you can't view it on line, ignore and agreement that you have with their Pagofacil to repay the short fall then send you emails every day from various sources because their system is rubbish. Do not have an account with them.

Llevo intentando abrirme la cuenta online del Banco Sabadell 2 semanas. Después de pedirte TODOS tus datos y aceptar el uso de tus datos te pasan a una pantalla que te dice que no puedes contratar esa cuenta y que te pases por una oficina para contratar otro tipo de cuenta. Es un engaño total y además se quedan con tus datos personales. He llamado varias veces a atención al cliente y se hacen los tontos, diciendo que no saben qué puede pasar, que es la primera incidencia que reportan, pero por lo que veo aquí le ha pasado a mucha gente. La atención al cliente es pésima y en la oficina tampoco te ayudan. Es una estafa para quedarse con los datos de la gente, lo cual es ilegal. No te fíes de este banco!!

Had bad charges on my account, the bank refused to stand behind me, refused to give me back the money. Took a month after I turned in the claim to even get an email. Really bad customer service.

I have never come across a smiling face in any of the branches in Spain. The staff are extremely rude and very unhelpful. The telephone staff are extremely helpful but at all the branches I have visited the staff are awful.
