“I’ve been to Luau in Kona/Big Island at Marriot and it was great! So I decided to repeat it in Maui at Marriot Walea. I was very disappointed with the food, it wasn’t tasty… The beginning to the end. The open bar closed, right the way… way before the show ended. The show was beautiful but shorter. It was from 5 to 7… in Kona it was from 5 to about 8:15 pm… And the price I paid for it , was much more in Maui”

“We attended the Maui Nui Luau. It had great reviews online. The location was lovely. Food was good. But the experience was just ok. We were rushed in, Lei’s were thrown on us like a ring toss. The photo at the beginning was rushed and then didn’t end up on the board for purchase. The performers were talented, but there was no actual teaching of the culture and history as in other luau’s. It made us sad because it was very dumbed down.”

“The food was good but the desserts were just chocolate or vanilla cake and there were flies all over them. The show was long and the one fire dancer was only out for the last 5 minutes. Disappointing.”

“Our trip was okay. Very expensive for the value of what you got. Snuba was again just okay. You only go 12 feet under the water which is less than if you dive when snorkeling. Lunch was very plain, just make your own sandwiches and they ran out of tomatoes, lettuce etc. Nothing to accommodate gluten free passengers. Dive sights were again okay but it is so unfortunate that there is such a lack of fish and colourful coral now. Not their fault but again disappointing when the cost of the trip was so much.”

“The Feast at Lele was good but not what I wanted. I’ve done the Old Lahaina Luau and that’s the one I wanted but was full. I liked the entertainment and drink selection better at Old Lahaina.”
